Third Time's The Charm. Right?

I have always been heavier than average. And when I was 20 I lost about 40 pounds over the course of the year. But it's all back now. :(

Well, I've tried to lose it again and more since then and I've struggled so much. I could really use some great, motivating friends on MFP who will be a good support system. I'm in this for the kill this time. My fat is going to BURN! Who's with me?

  • I am in the same boat, except I started serious weight loss two months ago ( trying for a year, but just really focusing on diet for last 3 months ) . I've lost 150 mostly the same 60 lbs twice, this is my third and last go round. And I know it is as I've been losing weight very slowly this time, and I've changed my life and built a daily routine that includes exercise. I had the same mind set when I quite smoking 7 years ago, so I know I can do this and stick with it this time.

I've always had a thick frame from my 5-4 height as I have a fair amount of muscle...I've really focused on fitness more than weight. But I know I have 30 more lbs to go before my doctor stops giving me a lecture when I go. You can do this!! It's really about not giving up or giving in. Have a really bad meal, don't let it be a really bad week...have a weekend away, eat salad and have shakes on Monday and hit the gym hard. That's how it's been going for me, and it's working. Not as fast as I like, but that makes it meaningful. Good luck!!!
