I bought the Withings WS30 Wi-Fi scale a month ago and it works as planned. It sync'd easily with MFP and all of my daily weigh-ins are automagically uploaded and available. Being satisfied for a month now with the Withings WS-30 Wi-Fi scale, about five minutes ago, I ordered their fitness tracker, the Activite Steel (just…

Here is is three years later and I'm replying. I just set up my WS30....same thing....it initially wouldn't set up with wifi, but finally over bluetooth it set up, then it worked with WiFi after that. I too, did a big miscalculation initial weight guess and it didn't know where to attribute the weigh-in once I finally…

Yup, four years ago I dropped 80. Then I married snack food and divorced accounting for my food and prioritizing activity and got the 80 back plus another 10. I believe in you.

I had a perfect "V" I lost 90 lbs. Stayed there for a hot minute, then gained it all back. It was gooooood to weigh 90 less lbs than I weigh now. 2lbs/week eh? Okay.
-
Hmmm, I expected a little push back. But, no, unqualified support. Good on ya' MFP community.
-
I sync'd again and now see 'running 172 calories' in MFP. Guess it worked.

I just got my new Garmin FR15 and set up a Garmin Connect profile. I've been uploading runs for about a week now and can see the data on their GC site under 'activities.' Today, under "Calories" I did the "Sync with MFP" After a bit it reported that it was sync'd. And GC said 172 calories were being sent to MFP. Great. My…

The "Male" posts here haven't been a bunch of help. But to add a male voice that is perhaps relevant. "Moobs" yes, man boobs. Mine grew as a I got fat, I lost a bunch and it wasn't that problematic. Then I gained it all back plus a bit. Now, I'm back on track and losing....I'm just hoping my skin has one more yo-yo left in…

I have guess who just arrived for the weekend. I did well all day. Then had two beers and was sure that would put me over. I logged and was good by 55 cal. :)

Day 5: I did well at breakfast, well at lunch, then boom my roommate was home and having 1.5 beers was just in the cards after work. I've not been drinking much lately so I felt the beer a bit.... I thought "well what if I skip dinner," but no I hit the fridge and had a decent snack. Lastly think, well I pretty much blew…

I really applaud you and wish you good luck. For me (maybe for you) there is just some power and force that seems like it will be deflated if I can log a "costco box of cheezits" or a "whataburger." The idea of not wanting to dwell on negatives seems to be the reason to follow that plan. I think your plan of plainly…

Just a pot shot from the outside, but sleeping 7-8 hours and waking up feeling exhausted, and being overweight....how about sleep apena? Ask your doctor...some folks it is night and day in energy and alertness having their apnea treated.

You can correct it using 'edit'

Lost it all, kept it off for one day, gained it all back. I'm motivated for a new push to lose it all, I'm just really wondering about the "goal weight" lifestyle. That is the spot where new stuff happens that I don't do while big, or while losing, it is a different me than I know.

"Men Who Maintain" is a group I made. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/356-men-who-maintain It is for men who have lost 50 lbs and kept it off for more than 6 months. (However, though I'm listed as a member I refound the eighty pounds I had lost) This post, is my first, after the whole bad yo-yo.

No time for my story just now, I'm up at the g*dawfully early hour of 5:00 A.M. to begin a new morning run routine. --MFPChris

Iyengar yoga should help. That style focuses very carefully on precision and being specific. A trained Iyengar yoga teacher will work with you to strengthen and balance your knees hips and ankles. In the SF Bay Area there is a teach who has scoliosis and that's what prompted her to study. She now specializes in teaching…

I right there with you. I'm forty-eight hours out of about a two month bender. I'd made steady progress for around 18-months then, BAM, I relapsed. I told myself week after week that I needed to pull out. I think what did it for me was I fessed up to a "real life" friend, and said I wanted to change it, and I knew they…

BMI is a outline based on statistics. There is a 99% confidence interval that somewhere between 18.5 and 24.9 BMI is a weight that well have the least impact on long-term health. There is almost no more universal belief, than the belief by heavy people that BMI is "wrong." As someone else wrote, being really fit and lean…

The national weight-loss registry, and huge diary of people who have lost more than 30 lbs and kept it off, has conclusions they have drawn from the one who are most successful at maintaining their weight. The walk every day....and....they weigh themselves everyday. Research has come out showing that people who weigh…

I agree with JeffRodgers1. Kara is great. Though not big at all, there is a women in my Friday A.M. yoga class. She's nice, pretty consistent in yoga, reasonably flexible, and her build is just rippled. Again, not big at all. She's just ripped. It is great.

There was a good long discussion on scales about a week ago. Lot's of good info. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/320156--food-scales

Good for you. The best workout is the one you actually do. Going to the gym requires a whole lot of stuff and also physical exertion while you are there. Looking at the long term a good think would be to {go, do, shower and dress, leave and continue your day} really regularly this month. Don't workout hard and get sore and…

Yup, I used to go to my Walgreens and get five XXL white Ts for $10 bucks. I went in the other day all they had were Xl, XXl, XXXL, XXXXL, and women's styles sized in small and medium. I kid you not. Totally worth it though.

It was recommended to me to go to WW. They do get rave reviews from Consumer Reports and others. I investigated and came to the conclusion that WW products are just for additional profit, WW points are a sort of simplified method of calories counting, and meetings/weigh-ins are a way of incorporating the power of…

Having been an obese yoga practitioner, and now a normal weight yoga practitioner, I've observed yoga is simply easier without an extra eighty pounds hanging off various bits of my person.

I wanted and still want a nice digital scale. But, I got a pretty decent manual food scale on Craigslist for $10. It goes by ten gram increments and 1/2 ounce, and a total of 2000grams or 4+ lbs. I think If I had a digital scale that read to hundredths of grams, I might be a little more obsessive with it than I already am,…

I've told myself over and over that "Really the hardest part is going to be maintenance." That is until I found out how hard the "last ten pounds," is You can do it. (I can do it) Optimism, staying on track, give to others, and accept what they give back, and most of all count calories and stay active.

You are on your own journey, not hers. Her dog probably doesn't like her, or some other thing she has to deal with. You can succeed. Plug in here on MFP, there is ample proof positive you can succeed. Change things, re-evaluate what you are and aren't able to do, get some peer support from other here. Do something calming…

I'll offer some of my experiences later. But quickly, sister i hear ya' My first month I dropped 10. Several months is a row after that i dropped eight. I'm barely barely getting 1 pound a week and it feels like a life or death struggle. (I guess in a way it is). Here's to us both accomplishing, and doing it soon.…
