  • I've been backing off on my workouts a little bit and just sticking to Jillian Michaels' 6 Week 6 Pack (awesome!) which burns about 430 calories for me. I do that 5 days a week and on the 6th day I do a relatively quick run. I'm eating under 1400 a day which really works for me during the work week. My Synthroid was…
  • I'm guessing that's a 1.16 TSH? If so, I'm jealous. How are you feeling??
  • I wish I had some good advice for you. I wish someone would have told me before I had my thyroid removed that it would be close to impossible to lose weight. I would have worked hard before and lost extra so I wouldn't be in this place right now. I do a pretty intense workout 6 days a week for an hour at least, and have…
  • I smoked for about 15 years. Tomorrow is actually 16 months of being smoke free. Cold turkey and I didn't cheat once. I was a competitive athlete my entire life but could never run. Finishing a mile without walking was an amazing accomplishment. I started C25K when I quit smoking. I am now up to running 5 miles a day.…
  • This. Definitely.
  • Coffee should taste like coffee. But if you must ruin it, then I also suggest Truvia.
  • I've lost 4 lbs since starting on here and tomorrow is weigh in # 3 for me. I feel like if there is any drop at all tomorrow I will be staisfied that I am doing things correctly. Before surgery I was able to lose 5 lbs in a week without much effort (I'm 5'10") so actually being satisfied with this progress is a huge for me…
  • Eat Your Vegetables chips.
  • I miss beer. Sadly, it's just too many calories.
  • I wouldn't rely on an a hospital's own claim that they are the best, but I have done my research. I also don't believe she is lazy or stupid. She doesn't want to give me a T3 because she feels they have more negative effects on the body than positive ones. As soon as I mentioned it she started telling me all the…
  • Thank you for your responses. I have been doing my own research and not just relying on what my doctor says anymore. This winter was particularly rough for me. I turned into an emotional basket case and have never experienced that before. I was angry and sad all the time and cried so freaking much I was starting to scare…
  • I am in a very similar situation. I have been running just about every day for over a year with zero pounds lost. I just started tracking my calories last week and am keeping it under 1200 and saw a 3lb drop in the first few days. Next weigh in is the end of this week. Are you taking a hormone replacement and if so have…
  • I have the same thing after longer runs sometimes. It feels like a joint issue. I found that adding a supplement with glucosamine helped reduce the pain.
  • My body was thrown into an immediate hypo state with the complete removal of my thyroid in November 2010 due to Hashimoto's disease. Before that I never had an issue and could drop 20 lbs in a month with hardly any effort at all. I am also on Synthroid, but still haven't found the right level to allow me to lose any of the…
  • I have an appointment on Friday ...in the middle of a back piece. Also have a quarter sleeve and several smaller pieces. Part of the reason I need to drop 30 lbs is due to ink. The piece I have planned for my side will look that much hotter with a smaller mid section.
  • C25K is amazing. I have never been able to run any kind of distance in my life...and I was an athlete. I used the app a year ago and am now running an average of 30 miles a week. It's worth the follow through. Good luck!
  • Rob Zombie is, hands down, the best to run to.
  • I new as of last week, but I'm on here every day and plan to continue that way. Helps my afternoons go by faster and keeps me motivated while everyone in my office is eating lol....Please feel free to add me :-)
