Who says they can't? ;) Be the first. :)

Only 3 days lifting per week, but I'm 53 years old. Also, spin 2 or 3 times a week and try and play a round of golf.

If your gym has classes, start with them. At least you'll get some guidance, and a chance to meet people. If not, start with some cardio (treadmill, elliptical, or stairmaster) and look around at what others are doing. Try to pick out someone that looks like they might be able to answer some of your questions. However,…

Get yourself a deck of cards, put them in your left hand. Take your right hand and place the cards ONE at a time on the floor in front of you while standing on your left leg and lifting your right leg so that it is parallel to the ground. Then pick them up one at a time. Then repeat, only switch your legs and hands. This…

You can't spot reduce fat, so your best bet is a ton of cardio, proper diet, and throw in a few days of weight training. How ling have you been running an biking.? Up the amount.

Fish caps, maybe calcium depending on age.

I use shakes for two reasons. - I ALWAYS drink a protein shake after a weightlifting workout to aid in muscle recovery. I typically drink this with Powerade as it helps get the protein in my system rapidly. One scoop of protein, about 8 ounces of Powerade mixed in a shaker cup. - The second reason is for meal replacement…

:flowerforyou: My hat is off. Keep up the great work.

I agree with Anthony above, and you should be drinking a ton of water. A diet high in protein can cause constipation if you don't drink enough water.
-
I agree....... however, if someone can do HIIT after a leg workout, they didn't do a leg workout. :ohwell: In fact, I was just going to say that cardio is fine after a weight lifting workout, except on leg days.

NEVER: Mayonnaise <== just gross

Mine too. What happened to writing cohesive sentences and paragraphs?

Have two or three tablespoons of cottage cheese with sugar free jelly before bed.

Commando. The only way to fly.

I eat raw oats all the time, either in yogurt or a shake. The nutrition value doesn't change whether they're cooked or not. I've never met a juice that was good for you (too much sugar). An alternative to regular milk is almond milk. Almond milk is GREAT in shakes.

I agree. And if you want to show off that new boob job, feel free. Be proud of yourselves.
-
I NEVER travel without a protein bar. Also almonds in moderation, or even some pretzels. And drink a ton of water, and hope you're in an aisle seat.

My old college girlfriend of 4 years gave me a deadline. The night of the deadline she gave me the boot. A year later I went to her wedding. But I've been happily married to another woman for 22 years. She's divorced. Not sure what my point is. LOL BTW, I just love that boob shirt in your avatar. :)

Awaiting answer......

I agree with Anthony except for the ratios. I would do a 40% PROTEIN minimum, and a 30/30 for carbs/fat.

15 pullups is no small feat. Well done sir.

This person is a friend? Wow, what do your enemies say to you? Free clue to you..... this person is NOT a friend. Find someone new to go out with. And if the ignorant goof has the nerve to ask why you don't go out with her, tell her the truth.

I haven't read anyone talking smack. But please let us know what knowledge he has exhibited in this thread that is so intimidating. I don't know anything about the guy. I just questioned his goal of trying to lose all the BF in 2 months time. Impossible to do in a healthy manner. I find it rather amusing that some twenty…

I'm looking at purchasing a HRM for my wife. Can you tell me the differences between the FT7 and FT60? Do you have a preference? My wife will use it mostly for a full body aerobic type workout and spinning. Thanks

A "personal trainer" that want to reduce his body fat 7% in two months? Almost 50 percent of your current BF. You should know better than that. If a personal trainer said he could put me on a two month program to reduce my BF from 15% to 8%, I'd tell him he's nuts.

I have a Kindle Fire and love it. However, it isn't the greatest for magazines, due to the layout of magazines. I love the fact that you can borrow books for free. It is a nice device. My wife has a Nook and loves that as well.

Your "philosophy" might NOT be right for everyone. Ever heard of an alcoholic? For a person that has made huge strides and has many to go (her admission), eating their "freaking face off" might not be the best idea and could very well derail any program they're on. It isn't always easy to jump back on the wagon. Another…

Well I'll bet you're just a pleasure to be around.

Technically you're correct. However, one should have a ratio of protein, carbs, and healthy fats. If two identical twins both ate 2000 calories a day, but one ate 2000 calories of gum drops, and one ate 2000 calories of 40/30/30 ratio, I'm sure you'd be able to tell who was on which diet. So eating 3500 calories all from…
