Ugh shin splints suck. Although the term is really a "catch-all" for a few different conditions. Might be worth getting properly checked out by a good physio to pin point what you have exactly. It will speed up your recovery tremendously. I had the kind on the inner side of the shin and I couldn't even walk properly for a…

I think you're referring to Quebec, one of ten provinces. The others do not speak french. We still have 2 official languages and the whole country is required to take french in school but nobody actually learns any french from that experience.

My only tip to add would be to use a clear container. That way when it's on your desk you can always SEE the water and that will remind you to drink it. Sounds silly but it worked for me.

1 to 1.5g per lb of body weight is the recommended amount of protein for efficient hypertrophy.

I've taken my diet as far I car to. I'm also not looking to necessarily drop any weight overall. A mild recomp if you will

Thanks for the replies guys! NEAT isn't going to work for me as it's a bit too random. I prefer a more regimented approach. My training is my training and my life is my life. I don't like to mix the two! This is also why the diet portion of this lifestyle is the hardest thing for me. Anyhow, i wasn't really looking for…

Dear 16yr old me, quit being such a nerd and go make friends. Oh and the girl you have a major crush on that you will never talk to actually feels the same way, dumbass.

Really? Tell me how a vegan body builder gets enough protein from whole vegetables without supplementing with vegan protein powder?

Continue doing cardio! I started yesterday for the first time ever lol

Sorry, missed that. Googling fluoride+bladder seems to indicate there could be some link

The only way timing your eating will affect weight loss is when it comes to energy. If you have some food in your stomach, let's say you eat something starchy about an hour to 45 min prior to working out, this will give you elevated blood sugar levels and thus more readily available fuel (energy) for your workout. That…

It doesn't work like that. Unless you are dead (and even then) you have energy stored in your body. That is what exercise uses for fuel.

I know it's hard to do but if he's the type that's able to have a rational conversation without blowing up then tell him everything you just told us.

What are your goals?

I think your problem is that the bar is just a little low. You don't look to have any shoulder mobility issues like I do. I have to go much wider then what is optimal because of this. Everyone is built different. Make small adjustments until you find what works for you.

Doesn't matter much. Do whatever is more convenient.

I read it and that's how it comes off to me. Maybe you need more practice writing? Try trexting more. Kidding.

Obviously if it interferes with you that's a different story. That would (and does) piss me off as well.

Unless you are consuming copious amount of water I would look elsewhere for the source of your problem. As the most fundamental requirement next oxygen for human survival, I just can't see water causing you any sort of issue. Just my opinion.

Protein is comprised of amino acids??? GET.....OUT..... OF..... TOWN!! Seriously though. If your intent is to exercise and build any amount of muscle you shouldn't rely on vegetables for your protein. You can supplement with vegetable based protein, although it's nowhere near as good as whey protein and it's superior amino…

I haven't recorded anything for about a year but when I did I recorded alcohol. I drink fri/sat normally. I probably have 3 to 6 drinks on those nights

Complaining about technology is good sign you are getting old, mentally. Remember when we all thought it was rude and obnoxious to walk around in public while talking on a cell phone? Thanks to texting I stay some contact with dozens of people I wouldn't normally call on a regular basis.

How you heat your food is not affecting your skin, I promise. Microwaves, toaster ovens, crock pots.. they all agitate particles to create heat. There's nothing scary about microwaves once you understand how they work. It's a non-ionizing form of radiation, meaning you can't get cancer or anything from it. FYI, regular…

A coworker who I've never spoken with asked for training advice this morning. Also this morning a friend texted me telling me she missed my calming and reassuring voice lol

I hope you're not relying on veggies for your protein unless you're consuming them by the pound.

Usually a high cal protein shake with PB, bananas, milk, cocoa powder, and protein and well as a breakfast burrito and a bowl of chia/hemp/buckwheat cereal. On the weekends it's usually the shake plus eggs, bacon, and an avocado.

It's not ideal but a low sodium V8 with dinner is where I get a good chunk of my veg
