Lupus + caffeine gives a lot of hits on Google. It's worth looking into. Check it out.

I'm 6'4 37/Male Heaviest was probably 220 ish? Lighting was probably 165 Yes I have a hard time gaining weight, not losing it. I'd love to get up to 220 again but at low BF. I was probably 17 or 18% the last time I got there. 220 and 12% would be nice. I'm around 205 and 15% currently

Fair enough, we'll agree to disagree ;) I'm just reporting the science but everyone needs to decide what's best for them.

It's interesting how different people react to stress. A good female friend of mine has just gone through a very stressful breakup and she lost a good 20 lbs without trying simply because she had no appetite. Others tend to go straight to the fridge when stressed. Maybe tackling the physiological issue of "stress = food"…

Got up a half hour early and started my HIIT style rowing this morning! Felt pretty damn good too! Seeing results is the key for me I think. I haven't stuck with cardio long enough in the past to see results, whereas with weights I can see the negative results if I stop for even a week. So hopefully I can stick with this…

You're not reading sound, peer reviewed, scientific studies, I can tell you that much. How do I know? Because there are NONE that exist showing negative effects of aspartame on the general population. Of course in the face of science and logic the "funding" argument always comes up because there is no other argument. Even…
-
Really glad you got better (seriously) but you can't link your problems to aspartame based on vague association. There's no scientific reason Aspartame would cause those kinds of problems.

BAHAHAHA

Lifting weights and building muscle is a great idea however the amount your metabolism increases from each lb of muscle added is basically meaningless.

Studies are FAR from inconclusive either way. EVERY good study shows Aspartame is safe. There are more studies of aspartame than pretty much any other food additive ever. 92 countries have deemed it safe for consumption. The amounts of each of aspartame's metabolites are MINISCULE when compared to those found in natural…
-
Aspartame is totally safe. There are ZERO credible studies done that show any ill effects to the general population. Of course the typical reply to that is that "Everyone in the freaking world has been paid off by Monsanto!!" Lol. Let's look at some FACTS and try to make this as simple as possible. Aspartame metabolizes,…

Yes I do, and I know lots of people who've smoked and died from other causes. Anyways... Like I said. It's not going kill her to do a short juice fast. Cleanses, detoxes, and fasts... all of these have no proven health benefits and CAN be potentially dangerous. The best thing for health is eating a healthy, balanced diet.…

That's a great book. It's cuts through a lot of the myth and BS surrounding women and weight lifting, including "toning".
-
This is not how you draw conclusions. My great grandmother lived to 105. She smoked her entire life. See where I'm going with this? A juice fast is a terrible idea from a health perspective. If it's a short one and you're doing for spiritual reasons then go nuts, or "fruits" rather, it probably won't kill you.
-
I'd much prefer doing the HIIT rowing.

Timing. Had you eaten said muffins closer to your run your results would probably have been better. But at two hours post consumption you were probably already crashing.

I hear this advice given to women quite often but is this actually true ladies? My gut tells me this one belongs in the "bro-science" category. "Bra-science" perhaps?
-
You get arrested?
-
And there's your answer. No man is going to report a woman's post to the mods as being "too sexual"
-
If you haven't tried hemp hearts in your yoghurt yet, you must. So good.
-
No. Aspartame does not cross the blood/brain barrier, only it's metabolites do. Those metabolites (phenylalanine, aspartic acid, methanol) are all found in MUCH higher quantities in other foods like fish, poultry, dairy, citrus fruits, tomatoes, strawberries, etc.

Lol never understood the Goz attraction that women have. I don't see it. However, I actually worked with the guy years ago on Breaker High. Nicest, most humble guy you could imagine. Oh and for the Kevin Spacey fans? Ladies, I have some bad news. Lol
-
Haha you kid but ill be damned if I'm not raiding the fridge most nights ;) thankfully there's nothing unhealthy in there!
-
Not much you can do specifically but dont sweat it, skin will tighten up on its own. You're young so you should be fine. Are you dropping a lot of weight quickly? And just a little friendly advice.. Avoid the use of the word "toning" on the internets. The word has no real meaning. A more accurate goal would be "lose fat +…

11 years off. I'm 15. Ok 37 ;)

Progressive load and recovery are the keys here. Training to failure or not, doesn't really make much of a difference so long as you are using progressive load with your non failure training. If you are training to failure then you just need to make sure that you are getting sufficient rest and progressive load should then…
