You don't need to exercise to lose fat. Diet is 100% of the equation..... exercise is like icing on the proverbial low calorie, healthy diet cake. If you are not losing as much as you want it is probably because a. you are retaining some water from the workouts or b. you are eating more and therefore are not in a deficit…

I lost about 50 lbs in 6 months. That was in 2005. I have kept if off since then (within about 8 lbs).

I don't think it matters much when you exercise. Whenever you can fit it in works...... Either way you're not sitting on the couch all day and that's what counts!

Time for a new husband!!! I look and feel better now at 42, than I did in my 20s. My 64 year old mother runs a 5k race nearly every weekend. She races more than I do. Age is a number...... and you are only as old as you feel. I plan to be running races into my 70s and 80s if I'm lucky.

I'm 5'9 1/4".... I weigh 138 now. My goal is 132 or 133 ish. That usually feels good for me in terms of body size and increasing my running pace. I have gotten into the 120s. I've been doing leangains type of eating..... 16 hour fast and 8 hour feed. It works great. Read his website. You are NOT going to eff up your metabolism. It can work very well for a lot of people. I plan a week in advance too. We have online grocery shopping with delivery here in my area.... so it's pretty easy to make a plan and shop with that in mind.

I like unsweetened almond milk. I also get a coconut/almond milk combo which is delicious!!! I never drink cows milk anymore.

My 5k best is about 26 minutes..... I'd love to beat 25, but that would mean a lot of speedwork... and I hate running fast. I'd rather run long. :)

I'm a 4 now. I've been a 2..... it was during a very painful period of my life (divorce!)..... I felt like I might have been too thin....at 5'9". But, I'm pretty happy when my 4s are a little bit loose.
