I weigh myself everyday when I wake up and mark it on a chart. Not necessary but it helps keep me motivated.

I want to eat only wild caught. The package I bought says "Wild Atlantic Salmon" but then in small print it says "Ocean Farmed". Plus for the price I was paying, I figured it had to be farmed.

Ok, bought a couple of the big portabello caps today. Going to try one at work with a little butter, garlic powder, pepper and one slice of provolone cheese. Will put in the oven. How long does it take to bake one? I have only cooked small mushrooms in a skillet.

All great info! One of the things I read about the Atlantic salmon is that most is farmed and their food has dye put in it so that their meat will turn pink like wild Atlantic salmon. That doesn't sound good to me.

I know that I would never do this for lunch meat. It is a good idea for a healthier food but I know myself and would give up deli turkey before roasting my own lunch meats.

I did find the Kretschmar makes a low sodium turkey. It is about 1/2 the regular. Still high though.

I've been eating slices of turkey as snacks or making a wrap without bread. Didn't realize how much sodium in the Kretschmar Oven Roasted Turkey until I started logging on here.

Dr discovered I had Hashimoto a few years ago when they removed a tumor on one of my parathyroid. They have not been doing anything for it though. They said that I would eventually start to gain weight and then I would have to go on medicine.

Haven't had the time to exercise much do to work and my wife going thru chemo but things are moving in the right direction. Trying to make it on the treadmill at least a couple times a week for a walk/run 5k.

I get that. I am in a weight loss challenge right now against someone. They are doing the shakes and fasting stuff. I am not. I want to change the way I eat and have the weight loss be a result of that. I am down from 241.4 to 233 in about 3 weeks. Trying to make small changes for the better so that they become habit.…

I wasn't clear in original post. I didn't mean to replace all my meals. What I meant to say, do you think it's okay to eat these in place of a full lunch a few times a week? Obviously I wouldn't live only on the Cliff bars.

I mainly am eating 1 a day max. I don't normally eat breakfast and am eating these as an early lunch at work with a small snack in the afternoon like a small salad or fruit.
