I have been wanting to join this challenge since it was first posted, but I didn't have a scale. Now that I finally have a scale, I would love to join this challenge, if you'll have me. I am running a 5K the weekend after Labor Day, so that is a strong motivation as well. May 31: 163 June 7: June 14: June 21: June 28: July…

That is so clever. I should do that. Only problem is that I don't carry cash. I will have to go get a dollar out of the bank everytime I lose a pound, LOL!

Day 5 went really well. I walked and ran 3 miles again. I also stayed within my calories, and ate really clean, high-quality food. Today I am hoping to get out and run, but I am not sure about the weather. Any suggestions for indoor workouts that are within my fitness level, and that will help me towards my 5K goal.

Wow! 100 push ups is impressive. I keep hearing about insanity and how crazy it is. I will have to try it at some point. Sounds like you are doing great. My birthday is next week, and my goal is to not cheat too much on my b-day. PS. We have about the same amount of weight to lose.

I would love to try this. I am taking Krav Maga classes, and we always have to do pushups in that class. Right now I can only do about 5 real pushups then I have to go to the girl ones. I am pretty good with sit ups. I know I can't run for 2 miles, hell I can run for two minutes, but I am training for a 5k in September, so…

Jennifer, congrats you are my inspiration right now (that and the 5K I am going to run on September 11th). I started out with the same amount of weight to lose as you and have lost 20ish pounds so far (I don't know exactly how much I have lost because I don't own a scale right now and am currently judging by pants size). I…

Never would have thought to combine those ingredients, but it sounds delcious. I am definitely going to try this. Thanks!

Jennifer, Krav Maga is a martial art that was created specifically for the Israeli army. It is also used by the FBI now. All of the moves are very practical and based on what you naturally do in a violent situation. It is completely exhausting, but so much fun. So days three and four went really well. I stayed within my…

Measure the marinade before and and then measure the amount that you are throwing away so you know how much you actually use.

I am on 1200 calories and on the days when I eat spinach or kale i always get enough iron.

Yesterday was a good and bad day. I did eat some pizza because my husband ordered the stuff. I should have said no, but I didn't really have anything healthy to eat in the house. I went shopping this morning for good food. The pizza was a good thing though, because it made me feel like crap. I had the worst acid reflux for…

Thanks so much guys! I might have to make it to a Doc as soon as I can afford it.

I think I will join in!

I want to join this challenge as soon as I get a scale. Right now I am just guessing my weight based on how my clothes fit. For instance, the last time my jeans fit I weighed around 165, so I am assuming that I weight approximately that much now. But that is not very precise. This seems like a great challenege for me,…

Wow! What an inspirational story. I think I will have to join you. I am nowhere near your fitness level, but I hope to be. I have been having trouble keeping my cheat day to a day too. I think for now I am going to cut the cheat day out, then add it back later. I am training for my first 5K (first since middleschool…

Are you sure of the 300 calories burned figure? It makes sense that you would burn more calories that just sitting around at home. The heat would require your body to have to work to maintain homeostasis, but 300 calories is more than most people burn walking at a moderate pace for 45 minutes to an hour. What is your…

Actually, I read recently in Prevention that people who did interval training lost a higher percentage (can't remember the exact number) of visceral fat (deep belly fat) than those who did steady paced cardio. I also read in prevention that a test group who drank 4 cups of green tea daily lost a higher percentage of belly…

This post gives me hope. I have had these stretch marks for between 10-13 years, since I was a preteen. They have been bothering me ever since. If I could make them less noticible I would feel so much more attractive. How much does this stuff cost? Anymore improvment since the last update post?

This humidity in Georgia is absolutely killing me. On the rare days when the humidity is lower, it is like running on a different planet. I can run twice as long. It is frustrating, makes me want to move to the desert.

My walk/ run went pretty well today. I added an extra burst of running. Sometimes I feel pathetic when I see people that are way heavier jogging along with no problem, for whatever reason I have weak lungs. I am not going to let it discourage me this time though. Eventually, I will be able to run for 3 miles straight. I…

I am 5'7 and my goal weight is set at 145. Although, I got down to 165 ( gained some of it back, and I think lost it all again but not sure since I don't own a scale right now) and at that weight I still feel like I have more than just 20 pounds to lose, but we shall see once I get down to 145. Either way I haven't weighed…

I used to routinely eat an entire box of Little Debbie frosted fudge cakes in a day or less. I used to eat a whole box of Gushers in a few hours.
