  • I'll join too if no one has any objections. Strength training is my biggest problem. I keep meaning to start a routine, but I haven't managed to get properly motivated. I cannot start training till Thursday because I have a class tomorrow that is very strenuous. I don't want to do the class already sore because I will not…
  • Great job everyone! Impressive losses so far. I am on a different weigh in schedule since I did not post my weight until Wednesday. I will shift my schedule so I can join in on the weigh in fun
  • Moo Goo Gai Pan. The sauce is not full of sugar like most chinese sauces and it has veggies and chicken. I think it is tasty too. It is not great, but it is better than most other things of the menu. You could also ask for half the chicken and twice the veggies and see if they will do that for you. This site says this is…
  • Okay so my here are my arm and thigh measurements Left arm: 14 Right arm: 14.5 Left thigh: 26 Right thigh: 26 Left calf: 15.5 Right calf: 15.5 I wish I could say it is all muscle but alas it is mostly flab. But that WILL change. I think it is really weird that my thighs are only 4.5 inches smaller than my waist.
  • Is there any way to cook a bunch in advance and freeze or put in the fridge for later? Also did you use the whole wheat or all purpose flour?
  • Alright ladies, I am ready to get started. I had a bit of a snag yesterday because I felt very badly. My stomach was really upset and I had a headache so I missed my Krav Maga Class :grumble: . Anyhow, my starting weight for this challenge is 167. Here are my measurements. Bust - 42 Ribcage - 33 Natural waist - 30.5 Belly…
  • That is a tremedous idea. I love boca burgers, and as luck should have it I have some in the fridge. That will make a great dinner. That is what I will have for dinner. With sweet potato fries. And some other extra veggie. What do you think would go well.
  • On the cardio question, I must suggest Krav Maga. It is super, super fun. You learn how to defend yourself in real situations and it seems like a great workout. I was incredibly sore after my class. I think being sore means you got a good workout. One thing for sure. Krav Maga is definitely not boring.
  • Wear glasses. I think glasses are sexy. Would you rather do Martial Arts or Yoga?
  • So I have been gone for the past three weeks. Ouch!!! Sorry about that. I have fallen into a motivational slump. I am glad to see so many of you doing so well. I need to get back on track! In order to reach my second mini goal I need to lose 1.8 pounds per week for the next three. Hopefully I can do that. If not I won't…
  • Lol! I suppose that is true. If those guys were there it wouldn't be so bad.
  • I would chose the plain. Cause I would kick the hijackers *kitten*, lol. If i beat the clown down I'd still be stuck on the deserted Island. Krav Maga has me all cockey. Kidding. Would you rather fight Brad Pitt or Edward Norton (going with the Fight Club theme).
  • I can try. Although, I am a lot less fit right now that you are. I would like to be at a really high fitness level. I would like to start running marathons like my mother used to do. Right now, I have started Krav Maga classes, and that has me feeling like a badass though.
  • I think it is possible. I have been losing 2 pounds a week. I was wondering how you determined what size you would be at 190? I guess that was the size you were when you weighed the same amount before?
  • Good to know there are some other peaches on here. I am from Woodstock, GA.
  • I should also mention that I am in need of some extra motivation right now. I fell of the wagon completely this weekend. I ate nothing but crap. The good news is that I did not get much from the food that I ate so I don't see myself doing this again any time soon. I have been weighing in every Wednesday, so I will wait…
  • I hear ya. I am so tired of what I have been eating. It is driving me absolutely bonkers. I am going to try and start cooking some Indian dishes because I absolutely adore Indian food. The problem that I have is that I don't like cooking every day and freezer space is at an absolute premium at my house. I live with three…
  • I don't know anything personally about the abdominal belts, but I have read that they don't really work. Sometimes I have heard that people have that issue that their inner abdomial muscle layers are not toned even when they work the outside through cruches, sit ups, etc. Pilates moves are supposed to be good for…
  • The lean cuisines also have point values on the packages. That way you have more options. I like the way they taste better, they also have some with whole grains and more veggies.

  • I will start this group with you with you! I am already doing a "look great by Christmas" challenge, but since this is a shorter time, I think I can fit it in. I have to warn you though, I have tried to be good about posting to the threads, but sometimes I forget and don't post except for once a week. I will try to…
  • Wow you are phenomenal ! I can't wait to have that kind of energy.
  • Sorry, I don't know about that test, but I would encourage her to have her thyroid retested especially if she has the other symptoms of Hypothyroidism (tendency to be cold, low resting heart rate, fatigue, etc.) I say this because my fiance's mother has only about a quarter of her thyroid left, and was originally tested…
  • Any tips on cutting sweet potatoes. I have never been able to succesfully cut them into anything resembling a fry. Also do they have frozen sweet potato slices with the skin on?
  • I haven't eaten red meat or pork for many years now because I can't digest it properly. It makes my stomach hurt, then it makes me cramp, and then to top it off it makes me constipated. I know other people like this. It is particularly common with beef. Someone explained to me that it is just an intolerance (rather than an…
  • This site is a great tool for losing weight and KEEPING IT OFF! Just take a gander at all of the success stories. They will truly inspire you. The greatest pearl of wisdom that the success stories have given me is that the true key to keeping the weight off is thinking of everything you do here as a lifestyle change…
  • I am not sure that it is correct to say that a high fiber diet only makes you lose water weight. Eating more fiber keeps you full longer, and therfore you eat fewer calories. Ofcourse if you lose five pounds in a week, that is obviously not all from fat some of it is bound to be water weight. But I think increasing your…
  • I admit that I eat more of the frozen entrees that I should. I have to say that the lean cuisine spa collection are pretty good and they have whole grains. Avoid the ones with a lot of sugar and keep track of your sodium and you should be fine. I think that changing your habits is a gradual process and eating frozen…
