Scooby website has my calories set at 1630 per day although my BMR is actually higher than it says (says 1314 actual 1478). So if I can't eat under my BMR then technically I can only burn 193 calories per day through exercise. That's not even a 0.5lb/week of fat loss.

I just started reading the book a few days ago. It's quite boring to me but it's got good info. I will start soon. Hopefully sometime this week or Monday of next.

This thread makes me laugh! Did you notice everyone has a certain type they like? Bad boys, muscle-y dudes, skinny nerdy types...it's interesting. That being said there's only one on the top of my list...... ROBERT DOWNEY, JR.

Do you eat the same things and work out the same way every week? The reason why I'm asking is because I have been doing the same exact exercising every week for so long my body just knew what to expect. So the last two weeks I've done completely different workouts (new gym, new classes, new cardio completely) and guess…

Well, I'm in the same boat as you. I'm 5'5", apple shaped and carry most (if not all) of my weight in my arms, chest, and my stomach. Looking to lose about 6-8% body fat. I don't care what the scale says but I'm currently 160lbs. For me the flatter tummy comes when I lose the fat pounds but I do have nice toning underneath…

I'm very, very lactose intolerant and I can digest isolate whey protein very well. I got it from GNC and the manager guarenteed to take it back if I got sick on it. There is no way I could reach my protein goal of 125 if I didn't drink it every day.

Sounds like what happened to me in January. Did the 1200 calories, exercise everyday and by day 20 (lost 7lbs.) I was so dizzy could not get out of bed and went to the hospital. They ran all kinds of tests and found nothing wrong. This was after I pigged out, of course, but I do believe it had something to do with my blood…

I'm pretty similar. 5'5", 32, CW 159lbs, SW 163lbs, GW 140lbs. I'd love to add you!

See...this is why I love this group! So helpful! I do actually know my actual target heartrate zones. I put that crazy mask on and they measured my oxygen consumption, got my actual RMR also. Thanks everyone! I'll do my incline treadmill walking. I go up to incline 12 which is like climbing a mountain. It shows major…

Thanks. I wish I could be more consistent with exercise but it's just not going to happen until my kids are a little older and in school. I am not sedentary though. I'm a stay-at-home mom so rarely get to sit except in the evenings! I also never, ever eat 1200 calories so my body is certainly used to feeding it! I'm…

I'm 5'5" tall as well and we have the same goal weight. I'm also at the same weight as you 160lbs. My body fat is a little higher though, 30% but pretty darn close. You stomach looks great. I hope mine looks like that when I lose a bit more body fat!

Yes, next week I will be completely changing up my routine. No more personal training at all. I'll probably do a barbell strength class one day, training on my own another, one day of cardio class like kickboxing and another day of HITT training with my heartrate monitor. Do you think I should set my target to 1900? Since…

I'm in the same boat as you. Lost 4lbs then nothing. Not sure what to do at this point. I spent a fortune getting my accurate BMR and still nothing. I'd love some advice as well! Side note, we have exactly the same weightloss goals. I'd love to add you as a friend.

This is exactly what I'm trying to do go from 30%BF to 24% BF without losing my 66lb bicep strength (or any other of my muscle strength). I have my calorie deficit set to 0.5/week. I did notice this week I lost about 0.4 lbs BUT my normal weights seemed very heavy so it's possible I lost some of my muscle mass as well.

Thanks everyone! My workout time is precious to me as I have two small kids so every minute counts. I would love to just add some type of relaxation yoga but I just don't have the time. If it gets me closer to my weight loss goal then I'm all for it. Regular yoga to me doesn't burn enough calories and since it takes up a…

Congrats! How did you find out about the hormonal imbalance? I've been doing the exact same thing for two years now since my daughter was born. Lost most of the baby weight immediately then stayed at 159-161 lbs. for years now. I'm taking the higher calorie approach, slower losing process this time so hopefully the scale…

My trainer said to put a scope of protein powder in the oats after they are cooked and a little bit of milk and you have a super breakfast. I have my oats too I just haven't cooked them yet!

Wow! Thanks everyone! I must get some non-dairy protein powder. I have some herba-life chocolate but for some reason they always put dairy in it to make the flavoring. I need to try that boca burger too. I love sausage biscuit but they are soooooooo bad for you! About those protein cereals, they never fill me up. It's…

bump...hoping someone can give me some idea please!

Wow, your butt is so much more lifted and no cellulite at all in the left picture. Great job!!!!!

Are you still seeing weight loss from doing this after those 4.4lbs? The reason why I'm asking is because my weight will fluctuate +- 5lbs based on how much sodium I eat, but as soon as I eat something with extra sodium the weight all comes back. That's how in January it looked like I lost like 7lbs but in reality I was…

What kinds of exercises, lifting-wise, are you doing to tone the midsection? I lift heavy, heavy but most target lower body, back, or upper body & shoulders. And then of course I do crunches and planks but I don't do any lifting for my midsection.

bump...hoping someone else gets like this and can help me.

Monty619 - I do heavy resistance training now which has gotten me to where I am now, high lean body mass but still high body fat (30%). My VO2 max is also not great so I'm trying to improve that as well. Hence the heavier cardio workouts.

I have heard this before. Your doctor basically wants all of your calories to go to the baby and you will lose a little bit of weight in the process. As long as you are eating healthy calories, not dieting per se, the weight will come off of you and your baby will be getting plenty of calories. The reason why I know this…

Wow! You look fantastic! What was your exercise and calorie strategy? I love seeing others who don't need to lose a huge amount of weight. How long did it take you? My scale is not budging!

I have one cup a day in the afternoon with 3tsp of sugar and 2tsp of non-dairy powder creamer. I have tried to get rid of the sugar but I will make it up somewhere else. It's pretty much my only sugar for the day except for dessert sometimes. I would be a total B&*(H! without it!
