I eat back most of my exercise calories and that is working for me. I do use an HRM for my cardio, and am very active. Also weigh and measure all my intake, and record everything that goes in my mouth.

Newbie, I'm in for 50 in August. Thanks for setting this up.

Amazing! Another inspiration for me!

Couch to 5K is a great way to break into running. Your swimming will knock off weight as well. I bike, run and swim, and today just finished the Couch to 5K program. I am training for a triathlon, thus all the cardio these days. As remarked above, good, as in $100+ running shoes are a must, and should be changed out every…

I definitely agree to eat back your calories. Your body needs the calories to fuel itself for basic operation. I run, bike, and swim, and eat back most of my calories and continue to be successful at losing weight. If you are gaining weight, try eating more....obviously healthy choices. Good luck!!

Hi there, I'm back into running, now that my knees can handle it with my weight loss. I love running! I just posted a comment about loving running to the point of getting up at 5am just so I can get the dogs walked early so I can go for my run over the bridge and watch the sun rise. I registered for my first triathlon in…

Search in the Community: triple chocolate chunk muffin. These are fabulous, easy to make, and mine are only 85 calories each. I sue egg beaters and carob unsweetened chips.

These are the best! I have made them!

Terrific! Congrats!

I respectfully disagree. Studies show, and I'm proof, that logging what you eat substantially contributes to losing weight. Have you been successful losing weight without logging what you eat? I guess that would be your barometer.

I'm in! 65 miles since July 4th. I am shooting for 15-20 miles on the days I don't work and 5miles on the days I work.

I just registered for my first triathlon, a sprint, on October 7th. My goals for July are to bike 14 to 15 miles on the days I do not work, run 30 minutes 6x a week, swim laps 2x a week, and strength train 3x a week. If you are also training for your first tri, feel free to friend me with a note about it. I'm always p for…

Bump, I just tried doing laps with my new Polar FT7 that just arrived, and it wouldn't register. I'm presuming the belt has to be ultra tight. I'll need to research this more. Thanks for your help.

My goal is to lose 100 pounds as well. I have lost 64 already. Feel free to add me, I am an active MFPer. I just ask that your diary be open to friends so we can help with support, and also gain new insight on new food ideas to try. Good luck!
