I believe you are under the assumption that you must eat right after you workout to prevent muscle loss? That's what whey protein would have you believe. The longer you wait to eat, the more time you give your HGH proteins to do their job. HGH proteins burn fat and build muscles. Link below to guys who wait at least 2…

I have a theory that exercising late at night is better for fat burning due to HGH proteins. You produce HGH proteins during your sleep and when you exercise. So if you exercise and go straight to bed without a meal in between, then your HGH protein count should be extremely high. HGH proteins build muscles and burns fat.…

Yes, I agree that a deficit is the ultimate goal but eating after you workout can hamper your hgh proteins.

You can read the article below on the hormones affected by cardio and weight lifting. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/12/081211081446.htm

Cardio reduces your appetite and weight lifting increases it. It's good not to eat right after you workout anyway if your goal is to burn fat.

The human scalp sheds 50 hair strains a day, so what you're noticing now is normal and most likely a healthy change in diet. As you shed hair, new ones will grow back in it's place. Dogs and cats shed a crap load of hair daily but they're not bald because it grows back! When hair stops growing back, that is when you have…

Everyone has a different definition for starvation mode so this can get confusing.

Just did a quick google search and U.S. federal law doesn't allow for referral fees so if the doctor is getting something out of this other then having a good relationship with the Nutritionist, it's illegal. It isn't uncommon for medical professionals to recommend sub 1k calorie diets for obese patients who have high…

Soy has been used in Asian cultures for centuries before it came to America and I haven't heard of any Asian country having a cancer problem related to soy. The only reason Soy is getting a bad rep now is purely due to the Dairy industry marketing campaign to keep Soy from penetrating into their market. Research funded by…

Technically, I could agree, but this Nutritionist is in her doctor's officer and was probably recommended by her own doctor. Weight might not be the only issue here if her doctor recommended this nutritionist. Maybe her cholesterol and blood pressure was so high that the doctor had to recommend her to a specialist. In any…

Do you have high cholesterol or some type of heart disease? You have 50 pounds to lose so you do fall in the BMI index of obesity.

I wish you the best of luck on your journey!

Your body hates you and loves fats! If you constantly gain on that amount of calories, like 10 pounds, you need to lower it or increase your activity level.

Well, she isn't selling her anything. Working with your nutritionist is a game of trial and error until you get something that works for you. If 1380 calories isn't working for whatever reason, you go back and ask for a new plan. The nutritionist is probably asking you to exercise less because she believes you are…

I don't know why it would be sketchy if you got it from a doctor's office?

Btw, I jog 4 miles a day 6 days a week with no injury. This is possible because I have the right type of shoes and never jog on concrete.
-
Not that important and it really just depends. The major drawback of exercising everyday is injury. Doing some type of cardio on rest days will help with muscle growth from lifting weights the day before so you can do cardio every day. Cardio speeds up circulation to help carry resources to and away from muscles. Olympic…

I thought this was an interesting find. The quote below is from the conclusion. Thermodynamics of Biological Processes http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3264492/

I blame my mobile device. How do you make those smiley faces?

Try for 200 to 210 pounds, all muscle. 170 pounds is more suited for those that are 5'7

You seem normal to me. Six thousand calories in 36 hours is along the lines of eating 3k calories per day and your exercising for 1 or 2 hours. That is normal! It is normal to want to exercise after eating, just like children who become hyper after eating candy. Why must we come up with stupid eating disorders for normal…

An excuse for what? Not sure what you are talking about.

It comes from set point theory. Lyle Mcdonald's take is on it below based off of what he found from his research. http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/set-points-settling-points-and-bodyweight-regulation-part-1.html

Yes it's true. It takes about 3 months for your metabolism to come close to a normal person's metabolism and then the difference isn't so much.
-
If you want some real weight loss pills instead of snake oil, go see your doctor and get something like Adderall.
-
Instead of eating breakfast, try and eat only one big meal a day of 1400 calories or whatever y9u normally eat. Set point theory says that you need to maintain your weight for 3 months to let your body know that the new weight is where you want to be.

You are a cyclists... If she ate as much as you at her current activity level, she'd constantly gain.
