You are getting more calories in TDEE calculators because they account for exercise before you do it which makes myfitnesspal more accurate. Go to options, set it to 1 pound per week, and eat all of your exercise calories back. That should be extremely close to TDEE-20%. So stop confusing yourself and just use MFP. .

Myfitnesspal uses a TDEE calculator. The difference is when you plug in exercise, which makes myfitnesspal more accurate. Stop confusing yourself and just use myfitnesspal.

I think I see what you are doing wrong. TDEE stands for total daily energy expenditure. Assuming you went to a random website or found the TDEE formula somewhere, you should know that it already includes exercise calories. You added an additional 400 calories over your TDEE, which is the wrong way to calculate your deficit.
