P.S. Thank you for the stretching ideas! I have had the importance of stretching drilled into my head since middle school but I'm still one of those people who forgets sometimes.

This group is a great idea....can I join even if I'm a bit late and doing a different program (RunningMate 5K101)? :P I won't be running today but I plan to start tomorrow. I have started C25K a few times but never finished. The most recent time I had to stop due to complications from a colonoscopy. I'm doing better but I…

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, its really hard to loose a parent. Good for you for getting back on the wagon and taking charge of your weight loss again after such a trumatic time. Have you tried drinking a cup of tea or some water with lemon juice in it? Those both help me when I'm craving food at the end of the day…

The people above me posted really good ideas and are things I eat myself but since someone already mentioned those.... GF Breakfast bowl (some people might find this weird I don't know, but this is a breakfast staple for my boyfriend and I): basic composition- starch (quinoa/rice) protein (marinated tofu/cooked ground…

If you are just starting out I would make sure to get my rest days. If you're feeling pumped and have the energy/ aren't too sore that's great but don't burn your self out trying to do too many exercise programs at once. Its totally up to you but listen to what your body tells you, it would be a shame to start all that…

Bump! I know someone already mentioned fatfreevegan.com but I just want to say that I have used her recipes many times and love them! She includes nutritional information for most of her recipes so it makes things easy. http://www.theglutenfreevegan.com is a good site too. Shes from Canada so it might be a good site for…

I don't know if this quite counts as a smoothie, but I just bought protein powder (chocolate) for the first time ever and I blend two scoops of that with one banana, 1 cup soy milk, 6 ice cubes and 2 tablespoons PB2. It tastes like a chocolate peanut butter milk shake so its really good for when I'm craving something sweet…

Hi Howie! WOW, you look great. I'm not against gastric bypass surgery, you obviously had a lot of weight to loose and it seems like it was the best decision for YOU. That's the important thing. Good luck on the rest of your journey!

Mmmmmm...love quinoa. I don't know why I didn't think of that. Do you have any recipes or a favorite way to eat it?
-
Thanks for the ideas! I don't have any gluten free cereal right now unfortunately, but next time we go into town I'll buy some just in case. jeanienherndo- I know what you mean. I'm over on sugar everyday too. If I eat an apple and a banana in the same day I'm over, its crazy! I manually changed my settings so my protein…
