That is true a while ago :) For instance, if I was on here and still losing the major amount, then yes. But at the moment my diary wouldn't be of use to anyone unless they are training for a marathon and / or triathlon. For instance, before a big run, I sometimes carbo load the night before and I run and train A LOT. My…

Hey there I'm same height and been around the same weight at one stage. It is totally possible but I'd honestly advise aiming for 20-25-30lbs and take measurements. Mainly because when you lose a chunk of excess weight, you may realise that the number on the scale doesn't matter anymore and it's more that you can look and…

I would advise asking the doctor and specialist to advise on what exercises you can do first. As you know what a hernia is, the fact it's pushing through the membrane means certain exercises can actually do you damage as it stresses the area you're having probs with. Honestly, before you do anything gym wise, check with…

The more you have to lose, the more daunting and impossible it seems and of course is disheartening when you fluctuate. There's no harm in chatting to the specialists but I really would seriously leave surgery as the utter and final option. Whether gastric band, bypass etc, it is still hard work and not an easy way put, as…

I lock mine because I've lost 150lbs by myself and now train heavily in marathons and triathlons and I am on here for support or to support others but not necessarily ask for advice. When I seek or look for advice on here, it's mainly about the fitness or exercise questions I have, not what I am consuming. I'm always…

Weigh yourself only once a week, at the same time each time. Only then can you get a better gauge of weightloss. Also take measurements each week.

I have to say that I'm incredibly lucky as I have the most supportive and loving fiance. while he has always made me feel attractive and beautiful even when I've put on weight or stopped exercising for whatever reason etc he has always been supportive of me being strong, active and healthy . he always supports and applauds…

OP - wouldn't worry about it. your msg was simple. you wanted to tell an anecdotal story with personal data, which is interesting to read and the whole point of a FORUM. you were open saying that the title got people reading and in your original post you mentioned that it was just your data and that there a lot of factors…

Unfortunately you'll never make it completely go away but there are things you can do to lessen the effects. Drinking a lot more water, less dairy and caffeine and alcohol , all help circulation and weightloss does manage the worse orange peel effect. While you can body brush and use a lot of creams, the change in diet…

OP - the first week is always the worst, especially because the volume and type of food is such a big change. Hunger pangs etc will eventually subside

this..... it's your body and whether you are huge or skinny, you're the one living that life. if you want to lose weight, then do it for you. it sucks he doesn't sound that supportive but at the same time maybe he is blunt because that's his way of trying to get you to stick to your diet when it clearly upsets you a lot.…

The difference is though, I think she looks great this time and clearly did a LOT of working out. Before, she did yo-yo but you could tell she wasn't really in it and was still unfit and not doing much exercise. i do find people have a propensity to not yo yo if exercise has been a regular part of the journey.

I know :) I think celebs can be a really good example of inspiration for weightloss etc but people just have to remember she would (as well as any celebs) would be getting paid a buttload of cash for the weightloss (good impetus there!) anddddd woul be having daily personal training sessions and regimented diet (which is…

As someone who has lost 150lbs, I can tell you that it is possible. It does (like everything) basic calories in vs calories out. Calculate your TDEE Eat an amount with a modest deficit to this Log your food and stay within it religiously (Eat nutritionally rich foods and try and cut down the foods with high sodium, sat…

That's basically every single celeb DVD.....

As a marathon runner and triathlete, I can safely say that one of the biggest mistakes people make is overloading on calories and food so early on, especially if you want to lose weight or even maintain weight and hence why some people actually put on a lot of weight. Training for even a half, you really don't need to…

Because it pretty much goes without saying. But that being said, if the OP is hitting a weight where they are slim then you can body sculpt, whether working on concentrating on certain muscle groups ... Not saying you can spot reduce but you can, if your body fat percentage is lower, tone and work certain parts but that…

You can lose weight but you won't be "fit"

Combine with more weight sets and strength training
