mmm well, the muscle paints and exhaustion tells me that you are not getting enough protein so i would add more fish, eggs, tofu, beans, nuts. How about your fat intake? do u have healthy fats in your diet, such as olive oil, avocado, etc? it is hard to determine whats up with you without really knowing the case. But I am…

ok, so i consider myself to be quite savvy about weight training and I owe a lot of my knowledge to OXYGEN magazine. This mag is so great. It is for women, it has workout routines every month, it explains how to do all the moves / use all the machines, and it works different body parts every month. There are also good…

ummm i would be careful about the calculators... i find it hard to believe that you would be burning more than you consume just by sleeping. we can make fancy websites and calculators all we want but dieting is pretty simple. don't put junk in your mouth and get off your *kitten*, is pretty much all anyone needs to know in…

oooo luckymam, that sounds like a really bad idea. (drinking decaf, or coffee or anything really after meals) if you want to use liquids to fill you up you should be drinking BEFORE your meals, and i suggest drinking minimum 20 min before you eat. drinking immediately after your meals can give you all sorts of intestinal…

first of all, i am sorry about your allergy. Dairy is kinda my favest and is also the reason why i can t shake off my excess weight (I really dig cheese). When I want to slim down I usually cut out dairy anyways..... With that being said, you actually have a one up on most people. Dairy is higher in fat , its harder to…

good post!!! i can tell you all from experience that 80% of losing weight is nutrition. I have been working out regularly for 10 years, and there are times when i dont work out, yet I lose weight because my food intake is healthy. sometimes I work out everyday of the week, arrive home starved and just eat all the calories…

hey fitmama, i am of the belief that carbs are your friends, so my carb intake is good and it is all complex carbs. I don\'t think the issue is there. Yesterday I made the conscious decision to NOT bring my lap top into bed for pre sleep shows and I think this allowed me to have a better sleep. I woke up 9 hours later. so…

TOM is on the way. I have already gained 1 kg (lets hope it's water weight) to counteract it's effects today I will drink a ridiculo amount of water.

i havent had a physical since may. and i wont get to go to a dr till ... may. but i thought it might be iron, so i am amping up my green veggies and red meat intake this week. im really hoping this is temporary, but i have honestly never had such huge issues dragging myself out of bed before. and I have never needed 11…

unless you do bikram or moksha yoga which is more intense than any other work out i have ever had. general yoga is perfect to pair with regular workouts. it feels good, it gives you better tone, and improves circulation and flexibility/

ughghghg this is exactly where i am right now. having a fat / ugly day, cant stop putting things in my mouth, worked out today but felt like i was going to barf thru the whole thing, pants look awful on. drinking ginger tea and hiding in my house till conditions improve.

haha im pretty sure i am not training as much as an olympian. :) my workouts are pretty intense but i only have them every other day. i wish i could get to my acupuncturist but he is in another country. :( I will just try to keep trucking

yoga is amazing and it goes hand in hand with running. it has so many beneficial postures for your knees and your hips. I think anyone who does any running should be doing yoga. Dvd is ok, but I would highly suggest taking a class once in a while. It is hard to get the postures correct and it is really important to have a…

i worked out before breakfast for about 4 years and recently switched to evening workouts. i much MUCH prefer evening workouts. before breakfast means that i am starving / tired by 11 am. I ended up eating more calories thru the day. When I plan for my workouts to be around 4 pm, or 8 pm, i find that my dinners are much…
