I give blood regularly, the only thing I do is make my day before my donation meal either liver and bacon, or black pudding, something iron rich. I do drink plenty on donation day but then I drink a lot of coffee & water anyway so that isn't really anything different.

When I make rolls I weight them on my scales, each one is 100g, saves all the guesswork out and they all end up the same size. I did go through the weight from 150g downwards till I founds a size that was just right to fit a burger in etc. Try weighing them before you bake them, at the last kneading as you are putting them…

HI, I also use a pedometer and do a minimum of 10,000 steps per day, I have been using it for over a year now, The British Heart Foundation website says that you burn 400 calories if you do 10,000 over the course of the day so that is the measure I use although as I have lost weight the calorie net has gone down to 357.…

I add a grilled sausage sliced to soup for texture when serving it is amazing, just make sure they are lean and not too fat, as you only add 1 it is not too bad calorie wise. :drinker:

I have a bread machine but only use it to make rolls, as a whole 2lb home- made loaf of bread is the food of the devil who will make you eat loads of it in one sitting:mad: I can let you have some recipes if you want but none of them are low calorie hence the reason I only make 100g rolls at least then I have some control…

I am 4ft 11, I want to be 8 1/2 stone (120lb). I was that 6 years ago :smokin: , then I gave up smoking and the weight piled on. Only 30 lb to go :tongue:

Every Saturday is my eat what I want day, it might be a fry up or a bag of crisps, it all get logged, mainly so I can find it easier for the next time :bigsmile:

At my age I need all the preservatives I can get so I never buy organic, plus the only lb's I would lose would be £ financial ones

I buy the dry bbq rubs and put over a dry skinless chicken breast, leave in a bag or covered bowl in the fridge overnight to marinade, then put into the oven to roast. If you have a smartphone, download a free app called Big Oven. It has a section where you can put 3 ingredients in and it will give you recipes using those ingredients, I use it all the time especially to use up leftovers.

When my hubby had his heart attack part of his rehabilitation was to do 2 X 30min walks a day. He still does them now 3 years later. He has managed to loose 3 stone just by that and giving up most of the the booze. He only indulges now on a Saturday eve. Wish it was that easy for me to lose it :grumble:

I have the opposite happening, was twice in Aug, and now again this week just hoping it will settle to a regular pattern again soon I keep thinking I will be starting the 'change' soon as I am 50 but they are getting more frequent not less :grumble:

I have an ice cream maker but it is thrown in the back of the cupboard everytime I try to make a healthy one with greek yogout it goes really hard and uneatable without breaking teeth. If someone could tell me what I have to do to get it smooth creamy I would be eternally grateful.
