I found a Chicken Sausage recipe a few weeks ago, i'm sorry I can't find the link, but it was delicious, chicken sausage, tomatoes, zucchini, and a few herbs. I checked my diary and it was about 8g carbs per serving and pair it with any pasta, i used Ronzoni Smart Taste and that was about 31g carbs.

Thank you all! It'a nice to get that support. And i'll send you nothing but positive vibes to keep up your progress. I feel like at the end of the day yes we owe it to ourselves to get in shape, but as daughters, mothers, sisters, wives, or just friends we should take care of ourselves to enjoy life with our loved ones. <3

I am not an expert on any of this, but from researching bits and pieces here and there, this time around i focused on upping my protein intake, and WOW! I was very out of shape and it's been a month since I started and my body feels full and stronger than ever. 2 years ago when I wanted to get into a workout routine, my…

Hey hun, i think i can relate. I feel like it may cultural and age differences. My mother and grandmother worked hard to survive, and when they were growing up being thick meant that you had food available and were eating well and were not poor. They've seen me at 130lbs and they thought i was starving myself too. Mind you…

Thank you... Losing 40lbs seemed impossible, but I decided to take it 10lbs at a time. So this is just a quarter of my end goal and happy that my effort resulted in something :-)

Hi, I've been having a variety of fruit Greek Yogurts with a tablespoon of chia seeds, and 2 tablespoons of slivered almonds. It has a lot of protein and fills me up until lunch time about 4 hours later. It has a ton of protein to start the day,.no.cooking required =), and it's nice to have a variety of flavors everyday. I…

Invest in a HRM. That's all you can really do to get as close to accurate numbers. Even if I do the same workout depending on how I feel that fay and my effort, the workout could fluctuate about 30/60 calories. Sometimes MFP and other sites have over estimated and sometimes underestimated certain workouts.

I try to weigh in everyday too. That way I can hold myself accountable, reflect on what I did the previous day or two, and if it worked I keep it up, if not I alter my type of intake. Also if i know i did well eating, and I feel good, and i had a slight increase I no longer freak out because i then know it was probably…

I didn't get to cook last night, so whipped up some quinoa this morning, steamed some string beans, and have a green apple to go along with it. I don't know if it is helping, but i've been having light dinners such as salads, and anything i whip up for the hubby for dinner, i save for my lunch =)

Like everyone else has said, depends on your weight and effort. I am currently doing Zumba Core a personalized class for approximately 30min, and I burn easily 280-320 calories. Just recently I added hand/wrist weights and I'm up burning about 360calories doing the same class. Zumba is fun but not just about bouncing…

I have used several video workouts in the past and is why i purchased a Heart rate monitor so no matter the workout i can have an accurate/true approximate of how many calories you burned. For my Zumba, MFP might recommend 300 burned calories, but my.HRM will tell me that depending on the effort it was 280 or 340 for the…

I just bought a $15 food scale from Amazon, idk if there are cheaper ones, but yes they help a lot! I was first confused with this topic when measuring spinach. Is a cup of spinach a cup of loose spinach or firmly packed/squeezed spinach, so i just weigh items to be sure. What i assumed to be a cup of spinach turned out to…

I just did Day 6 Level 2 today. It is insane how her simple moves really kick your butt, but once you do a few days of each level just think about how it's only 20minutes! And it has gotten me through it. Best of luck, plus 20 minutes for me equals about 230cals burned =)

When i did my pre-wedding workout in 2011 i was very lucky i found an old friend who loved running and we teamed up 3times a week for several weeks. She kept me going, and although we were friends i always kept thinking WOW if she can do it, so can I!! So having accountability with someone helps a lot. When I don't work my…

A few years ago i read a book titled Skinny *****, i thought it was a self help book on eating well and getting skinny.... I didnt realize that yes they advocated healthy eating through first a vegeterian lifestyle and by the end of the book they encourage you to become vegan. I enjoyed the book, it was very crude and…

thank you, this was my starting point.

I know this is a long term journey. But instead of having a sweet white bread in the korning with coffee and sugar, I had a smoothie with almond butter. I know it wasnt necessary, I never said this was the solution, but this was a stepping stone for me.

Time and time again I said this was my experience, not THE answer. I've been experimenting with healthy foods for weeks now, and it has been difficult for ME to combine them and prepare meals with them especially Kale. You say you give your body tons of fruits and veggies well good for you, I haven't been able to do, which…

thank you for understanding. I thought this was a community too. :-\

Thank you!!! The stevia was supposed to be for the green tea but I didnt really need it, and for the smoothies either the fruit or some bananas are usually helpful to sweetem it up. But thank you :-)

thank you! :-)

thank you! Yeah people say that our organs work perfectly but, I know people who suffer from liver and kidney disease, and kidney stones. Why not give your body a break and treat it to tons of fruits and veggies? Thankd for the support and understanfing though.

thank you, and thats where I was struggling. I KNOW which foods are healthier, but my cavings were getting the best of me, and I was actually afraid to get on scale, and when I was faced with my weight last week, it was like a slap in the face and this was a challenge for me to just go forward and not look back at that…
