My personal trainer was pretty "touchy" he learned very quickly that I was not. All I said was "That's weird, don't do that" we both laughed and he adjusted how he trained me and all was great, He was awesome. I noticed a lot of his other clients really liked the touchy stuff to the point they would even hug a lot,…

I love my Ninja :-) It's a beast! But I haven't tried any of the ones other people mention, so I can't compare. I'm thrilled with what I selected, I also needed a food processor so it's great for that also.

My experience was good. He actually is the one who set me up on this site. I saw him regularly for over a year and I learned a lot. My advice, be honest. The more they know about you, your eating and exercise habits the better they can help you. Also, don't take everything they say as 100%, do your own research on…

One other point I don't think anyone has mentioned yet.... when you are lifting weights you really should focus less on what the scale says and more on your measurements. You'll see more changes there then you will on the scale.

I buy liquid egg whites and add them to my smoothies. You can't taste it. But, if you don't like eggs don't eat them :-) I'd look for other protein sources before eating something I hate. Good luck!

I found mine by slowly walking around the house with my phone waiting for it to sync, when it synced I knew where to focus my search. I found it on my bedroom window ledge behind the curtain lol I still don't know how it got there. Good luck!!

I started with just the bar and then #95 for the deadlift (on risers, don't forget to elevate it if you don't have plates the size of #45lbs ) It was pretty light but I worked my way up like they suggested adding 5 - 10 lbs. I'm not new to lifting but back at it after a lazyitis sabbatical.

When increasing your protein you should also increase your water intake. Protein can cause constipation and gas which can cause bloating.

Trixiegirl66 - When I switched to a plant based whole foods diet I used a lot of the recipes from the Forks over Knives cookbook, China study, Fat, sick and nearly dead and Thrive foods. They don't focus on calories and didn't have any nutritional information in them so sometimes I'd plug in all the ingredients into the…

I guess I care, and obviously you do as well or you would just ignore me.

No, I am not. But it's ok, I guess I'm just stricter to the meaning of vegetarian as consisting of only eating plant derived foods. But I guess others are talking about the Lacto, or Lacto Ova vegetarians, or even Pescatarians or Flexitarians ways of eating. The only reason I brought it up was because the OP mentioned she…

No, I know the difference, very well actually. Vegetarian: a person who does not eat meat, fish, fowl, or, in some cases, any food derived from animals, as eggs or cheese, but subsists on vegetables, fruits, nuts, grain, etc. Sorry, I'm not trying to pick a fight, but for some reason people have really skewed the…

Protein bars, yogurt, cheese, milk and eggs are not vegetarian :flowerforyou:

It's a sign :-)

I second this

I don't know about others, but I know it took a long time for me to buy smaller sizes. To be honest at my heaviest the clothes I was wearing didn't really fit me, they were probably a size too small :-) So what I noticed first were my clothes started to actually fit me properly lol Going down a size was pretty fast after…

I have the same problem. Focus on your breathing, make sure you are not holding your breath! I do that a lot :-) Also, I have a strange low resting heart rate and low blood pressure (not unhealthy, just low) and when I start to get that weird dizzy thing I lay on my back and put my feet up on a bench, goes away in like 30…

I'm sure the more often you do it and the more fit you become it will get easier. However, if you hate it I can't imagine that part will get any better. I hate running, so I don't do it :-)

I had a similar issue with elbow pain. It turned out my shoulders were not very flexible. So I widened the grip and went with a thumb-less grip until I worked on flexibility.
-
Don't get discouraged, just try everything that has been suggested and find what works for you. Different body types have different difficulties as well. Although flexibility is my first problem, I am also fairly tall and have a longer than normal torso than most women. Squats are difficult for me, even getting parallel is…

Yea! That's great :-) And hard to do I know! I was "addicted" to Diet Coke, and the health benefits of quitting for me was an amazing surprise. After doing an elimination diet because of constant headaches for 10+ years, intestinal problems and chronic fatigue it all turned out to be caused by my excessive Diet Coke and…

In simplistic terms diet/nutrition is for weight-loss, exercise is for cardiovascular health/fitness and body composition/definition.

If you can plank on your elbow then do that. If not, if you have a dumb bell you can use that so your wrist is straight instead of bent. I have to do that with push-ups sometimes if my wrists hurt.

Go work out again, just maybe not as hard. It seems impossible but once you get warmed up and stretch a little the pain really does subside. Other than continuing to exercise nothing else has ever really helped for me. The worst DOMS I ever had only lasted 72 hours though. Keep on it!
-
That's right, thanks for the correction :-) Thank you for the information everyone, yes it does make sense. I do add in core work each time because I know the stronger my core the better. Like someone else mentioned once the weight gets to high I will look into accessories work or an intermediate program which is what I…

I love ab wheels, they are fun and really work well! But man it's difficult! :-) There are a lot of other ab exercises you can do to work up to using the ab wheel, like Planking. I'd worry if your core isn't strong enough for the wheel you could end up hurting your back.

I've never found anything that gets rid of DOMS and I've tried just about everything that people suggest. But I know it goes away faster as long as I keep moving and exercising. When you can barely walk it seems impossible to exercise but after a good warm up the pain subsides. The worst I ever had lasted about 72 hours.…

That's what I was thinking! They have like 0 fat :-) HMVOL7409 you have a gorgeous physique, I strive for that look over any other, and agree some fitness models are leaner than I think I'd like to be. But I don't really find any body type unattractive if they are healthy.

This was my issue with leaning forward. Stretch stretch stretch :)
