There is so much wrong in this post that I'd usually ignore it, but I couldn't help but respond to one point you made: "the doctor said I was just getting old. You can't keep that kind of stuff up forever" I beg to differ. Ernestine Shepherd is around 75 years old I don't see her stopping anytime soon. And she didn't start…

Building muscle is really the only way to increase metabolism.

I have long legs so I prefer Sumo, but second favorite is conventional. RDL is ok and I've never tried trap bar.

I always have it. Sometimes it's worse than other times, but I can't remember the last time something wasn't sore and I've been lifting for almost 2 years. I figure it's something I'm doing wrong or weird, but I live with it. The research I have done on DOMS has never come up with a 100% cause. From what I've read no one…

^^^^^Hmmmm I find this response a little odd. Oh well ElliottTN two cents is worth a million dollars. You have reached a point that scale weight won't give you what you want and you need to work on body fat %. A healthy diet close to maintenance calories and strength training will really help. Good luck!

Two Flinstones vitamins :-) They have everything you need and nothing you don't. Unless you have a deficiency is something specific supplements are not really necessary and a waste of money.

^^^ This is what I was wondering. I think some people must define Circuit training differently? Anyway... that is how I get my cardio/endurance training in along with lifting it's been a good program for me.

"Spousal privilege" He doesn't have to testify against me in court

Won't that make my hands bulk up though?!?

I've tried it, I think I mixed it with tea and juice, it tasted awful. I didn't notice any effect from it.

I can tell they are at Burning Man :)

There are great ideas on this post so far. The thing to remember when backpacking is weight. Freeze dried dinners, instant cereals/soups, dried fruit and I always take some cous cous because it cooks very quickly. I take a few fresh vegetables and fruit, but not a lot because they are heavy and bulky. Already mentioned are…

I have that issue too! I've tried everything everyone has suggested so far as well as a lot of other things and nothing changes. Now I just make sure to take my rings off and ignore the rest.

They are called pectoral exercises, not boob exercises. That article is an insult to the intelligence of women. Breasts are made of breast tissue and fat, you can't exercise "boobs". However, doing chest exercises and building the muscle under the breasts can help give them a lift, it has with me anyway. I don't know about…

I'm sure someone will post a long and very informative answer, but simple works best for me. You strength train in a deficit to maintain the lean muscle mass you have and reduce fat.

I was concerned about going to the gym too. As it turns out a lot of people are. I wrote about my experience here http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/murphy612/view/does-this-treadmill-make-me-look-fat-263800

Who suggested a fat burner?!? 21 lbs in 7 weeks is amazing. Don't try to fix something that isn't broke. Save your money, they don't work anyway.

I started taking Cayenne pepper (Capsicum) per my doctor's suggestion for some digestive problems and it turned out to also give me quite a bit of energy, even more than caffeine. It took a while to get the dosage just right because if I took too much my heart rate increased too much or it caused heart burn. You could try…

If you can't run at least walk. I bet half way through you will start to feel a ton better!

I've been that sore :-) Just make sure you know the difference between being sore and having an actual injury. And the best advice is keep moving. If you don't move it will get worse. Do something light but make sure to do something. Use Advil if you need to and drink a lot of water and make sure you are getting enough…

^^^^ It really does depend on what type of riding you are doing. You want to get the right saddle for the right bike. I thought you could never go wrong with soft and cushy but that isn't the case! How you sit, your posture and shape of the seat is more important. Go to a bike specialty store and talk to them about it.…

I'd probably wait at least until you are officially engaged.
