She was a beautiful woman. Everyone is beautiful in one way or another, it's all about preference. Her shape doesn't happen to be my preference, she looks fragile or soft. I prefer strong and defined.

I started 2-3 times a week. 2 days weight lifting and 1 day cardio. Never more than 45-60 minutes. I now do 3 days of weight lifting and 1 day of cardio and that is probably all I will ever do, I don't really like exercise but I like the results. I exercise efficiently and not excessively. In truth, exercise is for…

Nope, I workout efficiently not excessively. If you're trying to lose weight then more focus should be put on your diet. Exercise is for fitness. Now if you love exercise and you want to do it everyday then I say go for it, but you don't have to. Do what works for you and make sure it's something you can do long term and…

I like Alteril

I had a similar epiphany. Mine however was that you don’t have to exercise excessively to have good results. I started out slow 2-3 days a week and now since I enjoy it more I exercise 3-4 days a week and have had great results. I exercise efficiently not excessively. And other days I might do a little walking or bike…

Yep same here! And they keep getting leaner, I have skeletor feet :-( Not sure why my body won't take the fat from somewhere other than my hands and feet!

  :flowerforyou: I'm sorry, but oh wow, that sounds like something I would totally do.

Sounds more like acid reflux then a side effect of not smoking. I always felt like I had a lump in my throat and eating seemed to help a little. It was weird and it turned out to be silent acid reflux. The strangest thing I noticed after I quit smoking was that I coughed more! About a month after I quit I was constantly…

With strict diet and exercise I lost 35 pounds while on Depo, and I had been on it for 6 years. It was harder but not impossible. Really watch your intake, weigh and measure everything! I had a lot of problems/side effects with Depo and I usually advise women not to chose that option. It took almost 3 years after I stopped…

It sounds like you are already doing just about everything, what else are you looking for? Everything you listed are great substitutes.

Agreed!! There is so much fail in this post I'm speechless.

As people start posting their weights I just wanted to make sure to remind you that everyone's strengths are different and it's important not to compare yourself to others. How much you lift and how much you progress are goals you set for yourself and not anyone else :-) I only say this because I started to get discouraged…

oops, I answered a question you weren't asking lol

Are you kidding? This is the best post that will probably be on this thread. Sorry if the OP or others find it offensive or harsh, but sometimes the truth isn't best served with sugar. I have a friend who lost both legs to diabetes, he'd probably give anything to have them back regardless of what they look like. It's hard…

Yea, voices of reason :) Big boned, lol or the my bones weigh more comment, even bigger lol

Judging from your measurements you have a nice figure and I doubt they are as big as you perceive them to be. You should read this thread for inspiration http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/811361-ladies-who-love-their-thighs-welcome?hl=women+who+love+their+thighs Also, exercise is not going to make your thighs…

Mangos are my nemesis! Love them but they are a pain.

I've only used the Smith Machine once, all the squat racks were taken and my trainer said well we'll just use this for a minute. I hated it, it just felt ...... wrong. I'm glad I didn't learn to squat with it in the beginning because I have a feeling I'd have to relearn squatting. It really is different and I'm not a…

Exactly what I was thinking

This is pretty close to what I'm doing with my trainer, it works well for me.

Visible muscle definition really comes from fat loss, so make sure your 1st priority is your diet. Also, if you are eating at a deficit no matter what program you start using you're not going to gain muscle mass, especially in 4 months, but you will be able to maintain the lean muscle you have with a good strength training…

Awww that's so sweet....and yet awkward at the same time lol

For me it's not about control, it's more about the position I am in. I have control. I'm also talking about dumbells so maybe that's the difference. Oh well, decorum never has been my speciality :-)

In my experience it depends on the exercise. When I'm using heavy weights sometimes it's easier or safer to drop them then it is to set them down gentle. I tweaked my shoulder once trying to set something down quietly, not anymore I drop them if I have to.

Why are you buying new clothes so often? If it's an odor issue just wash your workout clothes with a cup of apple cider vinegar. If they are extra smelly you can soak them in the water and vinegar for a little while first. It works wonders, I'm a sweater too :)

I just stare blankly at them for a little while and using my best "The Dude" (Big Lebowski) impersonation I say "I'm sorry, I wasn't listening" :-) Of course that's pretty much how I handle any comments I don't care to discuss.
-
Nope, not at all actually. But then again I don't act any differently either.

Not dumb, those are very odd looking. The first time I saw someone do one I was scared for them!! I thought something was wrong with him, hehehe

I must have hit the jackpot when I found my gym, everything people complain about gyms doesn't usually happen at mine. When I first went in and talked to a sales guy I said the same thing as you "I want to lift heavy" and I showed him the NROLFW and I swear he got a little tear in his eye, he was so excited about my goals…
