  • I noticed a big difference when I stopped drinking diet soda, it's what I grew up on, I drink a lot of water now, and every once in a while I get into Crystal light.
  • Did you know that Sams CLub has bagel thins in everything bagels? I found these and was super excited! 100 calories and it comes in wheat, cinnamon raisin, and everything. Not as good as the real thing but if you are looking for a treat, I recommend this! Works great for making breakfast sandwiches! tomato, lettuce, egg…
  • Celery, romain lettuce, coffee, cucumber, s/f gum (5 cals per piece does that count?)
  • My friend who's a physical trainer told to me to start small. Example: Warm up 5 minutes, stretch, and then walk two minutes (faster pace) and then jogg for a minute or two, then catch your breath and try again. Seeing the progression is a great feeling. I went from hating to run, to doing half marathons (in fact I'm…
  • I like your "Suck it up so you don't have to suck it in" One that really woke me up was: "Let bad food go to waste, otherwise your body becomes the trash can"
  • I totally understand how you feel. best of luck!
  • Yes, I had this problem as well, just let your body accumulate to the level it needs, if you still are having problems you may need to talk to your doctor. Also not sure if you are consuming enough calories, remember if your body is in "starvation" mode then it won't burn calories it will continue to store them, but I'm…
  • Yes that and I typically eat more the week before, don't know why, but I try not to worry too much about it because it does come off. ;) I just eat a few of things I'm craving and make sure to continue to work out. I typically feel better if I maintain my workouts.
  • Congratulations for standing up to the "lady" I am sorry that she was so rude but glad to know that you informed her of how wrong she was. Perhaps she'll take your information and try it for herself.
  • How many total points can you earn? I got a heart rate monitor (which tracks my calories burned and heart rate) for Christmas and I absolutely LOVE it.. Not sure if you have one or if they will let you accumulate the points for one but this might be something you'd like. Could also ask if they'd purchase new gym shoes for…
  • Sadly I'm in the same boat, the place I want to lose the weight the most is always the last to go. =(
  • Have you tried making stir fry with quinoa? We just do veggies, some boiled egg, low sodium soy sauce in wok, cook our quinoa in a pot normally (could add some garlic powder) and then mix it in with the veggies just before they are cooked. Very satisfying and meets any chinese food cravings. ;)
  • Best of luck! Congratulations on the 10 lbs already. For exercise, I suggest finding something you that you enjoy doing. I recently got into Zumba at my gym. Since you were a runner in the past, perhaps try signing yourself up for a 5k and then using the Couch to 5k program. I was never a runner and envied those that…
  • If you like whole grain toast/ english muffin/ bagel thin, peanut butter with slices of banana (very filling). I also like to have peanut butter with an apple. Another thought is lunch meat wraps with veggies in it. You could also try having a piece of fruit and wait until you can actually have your greek yogurt. Good Luck!
  • I used to love GAP jeans, but now they stretch out too much, I recently found old navy sweetheart jeans, and when I took them to Ireland with me they were very comfortable and got multi-day wears out of them.
  • Not sure about the exact recipe, but www.cooks.com is a great site to find a recipe, if you know what you are looking for. For pork chops we like to create a apple cider vinegerette with bosc pears and onions. Will try to find recipe as my husband typically makes this one.
  • My doctor told me that calcium could also inhibit your thyriod medicine absorption, so I take multi and calcium chew at night before bed.
