  • I also have MS, diagnosed at Mayo Clinic in 1993, I think it was. I don't cut any one particular thing out of my diet and am wondering why so many of you swear by gluten free / dairy free diets. Are you sure that diet is connected with your feeling better? Absolutely positive? I know a gluten free diet is a popular thing…
  • I just read in Scientific American that calorie counts on food labels are horridly incorrect for all foods. The reasoning they gave is that different people get different calories from any food. I might get 100 calories from a 1" block of cheese and somebody else will get 180 calories from the same cheese.
  • Well, you look beautiful! Good job, girl! Don't feel down, you've got a LOT going for you and whatever's bringing you down will pass and afterward you will still be looking fine!
  • You betcha, tutorials are all over the internet. Check out YouTube sometime - blow by blow videos on how to make nearly anything. I am currently researching the best and most delicious brushetta recipes. Love that stuff (actually, I love Trader Joe's brushetta a lot and am trying to duplicate at home; I know I can make it…
  • I totally agree with your comments. However, that said, if someone watches too much FoodNetwork TV, they could easily be convinced that cooking is too expensive, what with all of their uses for wine, 'good' olive oil, artisan breads, fancy mushrooms, etc. These things are not necessary to cook well - nice, but not…
  • As far as bears chasing you - in that case you only need to run faster and further than the guy behind you. LOL Good luck to you!
  • Your post is very informative and I agree with you, totally. My plan is going with the sedentary lifestyle choice and adding exercise as I accomplish it, which is not 5 times a week, I guarantee you. That way, it seems that I feel more like I "did something" when I exercised. CONGRATS on your weight loss!
  • Thanks for submitting that great article! I see people drinking whiskey, gin, etc. because they don't have "carbs" so, therefore, are better for weight loss. Some of these people are the same ones who over-eat meat, butter, and eggs, but wouldn't touch a chip or cookie if they were starving! Needless to say, I don't see…
  • You're looking good, girl ! Love that smile on your face - well deserved :flowerforyou:
  • I just wanted to say that your look awesome and BIG congrats for all the weight you've lost! I know what you mean about low cal eating, seems like you can't take an extra bite w/o it showing up on the scale. I've been a member since late February and have lost 13 pounds so far. I wouldn't want to lower my calorie intake…
  • Great advice from a girl who knows how it works!! Congrats on a great post~
  • I agree with the others. Folks you see every day don't notice nearly as quickly as someone who hasn't seen you in months. And, you're so right - doing it for yourself is the important thing. Health is the goal; beauty is secondary. However, you look maaaaavelous!
  • Great job! How on earth do you exercise 1-2 hrs. daily w/ 3 kids? I admire you, girl. Good luck in the upcoming race.
  • What can I say, except WOW! WOW! WOW! You're doing an awesome job!
  • Oh my gosh! You've done a terrific job. Amazing....just amazing! CONGRATS, girl!
