I did not really think about how I would look after the weight loss and being 65, it's even worse. However I did not do this just for appearances, but to get healthy and I have achieved that. I am most unhappy with my face that had few wrinkles when I was fat and now looks like a road map. Wrinkle creams don't really help…

I never log on days like Thanksgiving and Christmas because I have very few cheat days and I am NOT putting everything I ate out there...It's called a cheat day for a reason. I have been here for a year and 10 months and I think by now I know what I'm doing and I am 5 pounds from goal. You do what you want, personally I…

Okay maybe mine is not so healthy as yours are but I love a good PB and J. Quick and easy and yummy and I use only natural spreads with no HFCS. I'm just a big kid, lol.

Omg I may never eat again!

I love Jillian Michael's 30 day shred, level 1 is on youtube which is the only one I do modifying because I can't do any impact with my artificial knees and I also like Jillian's Kickboxing. Both of these are on youtube. By the way, I am 65 years old so if I can do these anyone can do them!

I only count housework when it's something out of the ordinary that keeps me moving for longer than 10 minutes for sure, no carpet here so the whole house gets mopped. You can bet that works up a sweat. So if I clean for a couple of hours vigorously then yes, I will count it but ordinary cleaning, no.

Wow! Terrific progress! You should be proud!

Thank you for posting this because I do have a sweet tooth and my day is not complete without some sweet stuff. I stay within my macros and still try to keep my proteins a little higher and my carbs a little on the low side, but I refuse to completely restrict myself when it comes to eating. Everyone knows that it's so…

Not looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas but I do not log those two days. I do try to eat within reason but I allow myself treats that any other day I would not. My cheat days are few and far in between so I think it doesn't hurt and I get back on track the next day. I still do my workout and drink my water.

I'm 65 and I've been here a good long time. As you can see I have had some success, though it's been slow, they tell me that's the best way to do it.

Well, I don't eat super clean myself, but I do keep under unless it's a special occasion. I have been at this a little while and as long as you keep your diary under and you move, you should be losing. I agree with the folks who say for you to open your diary. That being said though if you keep on moving and you continue…

Never heard of it before, ya learn something new everyday!

I actually stayed within a normal weight range till my 40's when recurring knee problems got worse and forced me to be inactive along with eating too much. Had my knees replaced about 10 years ago and my surgeon stressed that the more I used my artificial knees the sooner they would wear out. That terrified me thinking…

Well in my case, I just kept plugging away at it. Over time it becomes a habit and I do take breaks at time for a day or two but I get right back on the horse later.
-
I have had my knees replaced, and I am sure I am quite a bit older than you, but my point is I have done 30 day Shred level 1 and I do modify the jumping jacks so that the impact is less, the rest of the stuff like jumping rope doesn't hurt my knees. I just kind of bounce and keep moving as fast as they do but put out one…

Looks good. Will give this a try!

I eat between 1200 and 1300 calories everyday and have been for over a year and a half with a few breaks for birthdays and holidays. I have thyroid disease and I am 65, both of which lead to a slower metabolism and trust me, it takes a lot for me to lose. I exercise nearly every day burning 300 calories or more most days.…
-
Well you lost me at the "no 1200 calorie people" comment. I have eaten between 1200 and 1300 calories since I started here and as you can see, I have had a fair amount of progress eating that way. I have thyroid disease and I am old, lol. Two strikes against me and if I eat more I do not lose. No idea what will happen when…

I started here weighing 272 pounds and the real shock to me was the calories in the wrong foods I was eating on a daily basis. Take some of these suggestions and pack a lunch. Use a food scale. Learn to accept the fact that you can't eat like a "trucker". If you are really serious, you will try these and seeing a…

Guess I am gonna have to get Netflix, lol

I don't know the answer to that and that is why I own a heart rate monitor with calories counted. In my opinion that is the best way to have an idea of what you are burning calorie wise. I try to keep my heart rate over 120 when I am walking and have never gotten it much over 140 even doing cardio exercises like kickboxing.

Bump! Sounds wonderful.

You look beautiful! Terrific job! Keep up the good work!

I do a lot of those things too. I have been at this for 18 months and not losing any great amounts at a time, but eating sensibly but not denying myself treats. This is going to be a rest of my life thing because I know just a little binge throws my body into a tailspin. I really can't do cheat meals. Don't know if it's my…

Yup mine's been showing the same. Newsfeed temporarily unavailable...How long is temporarily cause mine has been out the majority of the day. Also been having problems posting. When I try to comment on someone's diary or exercise, I get two or three of my comments showing up when they finally do show.
-
Sounds great but I would probably pair it with some rice and a green veggie.
-
I would check with my doctor and tell him what exactly is going on. That sounds scary to me. I never had this problem even at 272 pounds. If he clears you then I would just attempt to gain more endurance but until you know what's going on, i wouldn't push a thing.

Wow, my heart goes out to you! My advice is to start moving. Walk as much as you can. Start there, everyone can walk. When you feel stronger then you can go onto exercise videos. There are tons of them on Youtube. There are exercises you can do in a chair if you want to start there, but do something. Begin by cutting out…

I love a good hamburger. I buy the leanest ground beef I can find which is not cheap, but I arrive at Walmart early in the morning. Usually around 8 or so and frequently find lean hamburger marked down. I refuse to pay full price for that. Grocery stores usually have their fliers online. Check out prices for fresh fruit…
