  • Well funny thing, I lost my weight here but when it came to maintaining I didn't do as well. I have now joined WW to have accountability. I managed to have family celebrations and all the holidays and still lose but after losing my husband, I just fell off the rails and have gained back roughly 35 pounds. I'm back on track…
  • Use a long handled spatula to get it out and transfer to a measuring spoon. I adore peanut butter and that's one thing I will never give up.
  • If you're trying for low carb then fish fingers with breading are not the thing to eat? But why would you not want to eat a sustainable diet that you can live with? I eat pretty much the same everyday and once in a while I have a day when I eat unrestrained and do not log. It's working for me and I have reached my goal…
  • Reach down inside yourself and find the winner you can be! If I found it, anyone can! You can do it!
  • That's nothing short of awesome! So proud of you and you can keep it going! :flowerforyou:
  • Get your thyroid levels checked...
  • Yeah I have on a pink shirt! But it's Pogo challenge day too. Exercise suffers on Wednesday, LOL!
  • BUMP (so I can find the recipe when I want to try it)
  • I don't care what anyone thinks...I think they are necessary. I need those days to recharge and not feel accountable for every thing I put in my mouth or every step I don't take. Not having a good day but I will get over that. Some days I just want to cram everything I see into my mouth. That's why some weekends when my…
  • Oh yeah I forgot about the anemia excuse too! I have been severely anemic all my adult life, but how is it after eating so much less but eating right, that my hemoglobin is now normal. Yeah that excuse doesn't hold water either. All that crap in place of healthy food is not doing you any favors. Also have a compressed disc…
  • Oh yeah, I had plenty of them. Thyroid disease, bad knees and then both knees replaced. Used the artificial knees as an excuse for years as the reason I couldn't do much exercise. My orthopedic told me the more I used my knees the sooner they would wear out and have to be replaced again. Well it's been about 10 years and…
  • I think it's important to accept your worth no matter what your size. It is healthy to be fat? Well of course not but some people feel it's beyond their control. I did for many years but I finally came to see the light.
  • I generally have a cheat day every other week when my family comes to visit. I eat what I want and I guarantee you, I eat an excessive amount of calories. No holds barred on what I eat. The next day I get right back on track and eat right and exercise and keep that up and usually in a week or two, I am right back where I…
  • Exercise is the answer. Even at my ripe old age of 66, exercise has tightened lots of that loose flapping stuff. Yeah I still have bat wings and a small flap of skin in the belly area but you would not believe how much of it has tightened up since I started losing. Just keep working out and as young as you are, most of it…
  • Oh sorry...I will never give up sugar. I lost 129 pounds having a little sugar everyday to quiet my sweet tooth. All things in moderation, balance works for me.
  • I just kept plugging away and eventually I began to make progress, pushing myself more and being very meticulous with my calorie counting. Watched my sodium and my fats, kept my proteins a little higher and my carbs a little lower. Pushed myself on the exercise even though I have artificial knees. I am beneath my goal…
  • One of my no fat, no sugar, honey whole wheat banana muffins and a small Macintosh apple.
  • I have never set foot in a gym. I started out riding a recumbent bike and did some walking. I later acquired an elliptical machine. I still enjoy the walking most. I do some fitness challenges and a few videos during the week. Lots of exercise videos on YouTube...but mostly I walk, either outside or do the elliptical. The…
  • You should be proud of that! Congrats!

  • 30 Day Shred, level 1 is on YouTube, also Jillian has a kickboxing video on YouTube. I can't do more than level 1 because I have artificial knees and can't handle lots of impact. That being said I do the jumping jacks and all that she does in level one but the videos get progressively harder so I will stick with level one…
  • Truer words were never spoken!
  • I try to avoid most fats at all costs since fat equals calories, that being said, somethings just do not work without a little fat and then I use olive oil or a tiny bit of butter during cooking.
  • In a word, nope. I go up and down regularly, since I am at goal, I don't stress about it.
  • Pretty much shocked by the calories in most everything I ate before I started here but what surprised me the most was sodium in foods, especially deli lunch meats and in anything you get at a restaurant. To the person who loves cheese, I adore Weight Watchers string cheese and one is only 50 calories.
  • Where's the like button?
  • I have reached my goal, back before Christmas and my family swears I do not need to lose another pound. So I am toying with the idea of stopping MFP and seeing how I do. After 700 some days, nearly two years, I think I will feel lost without it. I still think I could stand to lose a little more. I am thin but the stomach…
  • I eat early, around 5 and try to have my last snack gone by 7 or so. Can't say if it makes a difference but I usually head to bed around 10 so I really don't want to carry that food to bed with me and that is my only reasoning.
  • Better take beano too LOL
  • Leftover pork tenderloin and rutabaga and broccoli, my husband is sick and someone needs to eat it up. :)
  • It is my opinion that no food in moderation is bad for you. I will not give up my sugar entirely to lose weight and as you can see I have had a fair amount of success with sugar in my diet. Furthermore, I am pretty healthy. Blood pressure is perfect, BMI is in the normal range. Cholesterol is good. Am I worried about a…
