I make a three hour drive to go here a couple of times a year. Then I drive back home that same day. Yes, I drive 6 hours total to go stuff ma face with all the yummy food.

My thoughts exactly. I found that trying to keep it straight tough as nails for me too. I need a mirror so I can see if I am doing it right. I would be really bummed out if I got sidelined with an injury.

Patience man. You can look and look and look and find nothing. I went through a ton of relationships and then a massive dry spell. Then, when I wasn't paying attention (i.e. trying) my then girlfriend and now wife just fell in front of me. You have no idea where your mate will show up. If you look constantly you will never…

No, you don't sound stupid. But, here is how it probably works: "You should really try these African Mango Bush pills." "What about the other stuff you guys are selling?" "Well, we have to carry that stuff. But, these pills actually work." I.E., we make more money pushing this new stuff than the other things we have that…

I will definitely wait until the END of the cycle first. I am disciplined enough to do that. I will wait and see how 12 reps feels. I might have a very different story then :) I looked at that video and something struck me. His back is arched a lot at full extension. I thought (probably incorrectly) that you were supposed…

So I am about to end week two. I upped the reps to 9 for my lifting and yes that one more rep really did make a difference. I can't believe I didn't think about the math as much. That one extra rep is really 28 extra reps. Hrm... :) I know that I picked some of the starting weights right as I can feel myself really…

Thanks Sara. My thoughts seem to fall in line with your thinking. My guess was to take what I am burning (HRM), from start to finish of the race, and then reduce by 15-20% and add that back in. The last thing I want to do is run a race and then not feed my body what it needs to repair the strain I've put on it. Great…

Reply with what you are filling in for the first 8 steps. Someone with knowledge more than me can do the calculations on the web site and then give you good advice.

^^ This makes it easy. I do the same. Especially if, for example, you have plenty of calories left on the day and you have a good sized snack. If you didn't put it on the previous day, you would start the next day minus some good amount of calories. As Textmessage said, it really is about the whole week though. I can't…

That sounds like a cut split. Are you cutting after a bulk or plan on cutting first and then bulking and cutting again?

Before you see the title and think "What? Better Homes and Gardens? I'm not buying THAT" read the description on Amazon. It has a ton of great intro and intermediate cooking skills. Things like knife skills, weight conversions and the such. I have one that has a torn cover, some "oops" spills on a few pages and I will not…

I listen to Van Morrison - Moondance as I'm getting things set up to lift. It kind of erases anything else that may get in my way for my workout. Then I flip on Spotify with a Skrillex or Deadmau5 radio and let the music spin.

You will want to keep them chilled while at the gym, but these are AMAZING. http://www.tasteofhome.com/Recipes/Scrambled-Egg-Muffins

I would make a list on Sunday of every week for that 6-10pm time slot. In that list or schedule you should make sure you put in 30 minutes for working out a few days a week. With the kind of schedule you are currently running, you probably have very little "me" time. You need that to be efficient in the rest of the hours.…

Optimum Nutrition Double Rich Chocolate. Awesome. I get mine from Amazon.

Sadly, I'll admit, I had to go the ecig route too. I just didn't have the will, I'm weak, however you want to put it. That being said, I'm six months on vaping, can smell and breathe again. I'm hoping over the next few months to ween myself completely off the ecig as well. I have a counter in my sig on an ecig forum. So…

Awesome. Thank you!

As far as the scale goes, I have a recommendation. I got an Escali scale a few months back and it is fantastic. $35 on Amazon. Copying and pasting the features from their site: Measures up to 15 lbs (7 kg) in 0.1 ounce (1 gram) increments Single, smooth glass surface makes clean-up fast and easy Measures both liquid (fl…

Thanks AnvilHead. Patience is not something I am good at on most occasions, but I have to have it here. Question about the warm up sets though. I have no clue if this even matters, but curious. Should you do all warm up sets, then all work sets or do the warm up for each one and then do the full, warm up for the next, then…

This right here

@AnvilHead Yes ... I want to struggle. I want to know I am pushing myself. If I were to get to week five and not be struggling with 12 reps, then that may mean I set my weight too low. No matter, I can up it per the regimen and go for the next five weeks. I threw myself at on Monday and it was decent work. I probably need…

This is what my mantra is with goals. I believe it is credited as a Burmese saying. I'm finally applying it to my health and not just my career: "Who aims at excellence will be above mediocrity; who aims at mediocrity will be far short of it." Set lofty goals for yourself. But, when you reach your deadline, measure…

Noted. I will adjust my total to account for the cardio. I don't imagine it will be much until the weather warms up and I'm outside more. That spreadsheet is AMAZING. Thank you for it!
-
Nope you are absolutely correct. I figured TDEE based on lifting three days a week. But, I'd love to be able to do some cardio and ab work on off days as recommended at the bottom of the lifting schedule post I was sent. I didn't figure them this week so I could just see how my body feels with these lifts. I'm probably…

Obviously get someone else to carry the baby! It is too much for her.

Three pounds? Well I guess that leaves out ANY barbell weights... pass. The best looking woman in the office is one who is four months pregnant (just announced this weekend). Guess what .. she weight trains. She must be doing something wrong.

If I have the whole day made, I might log it the night before, but I do look at it throughout the day to make sure I don't forget anything "extra" I may have. All that really matters is that you log everything. It keeps you honest.

That had to take a lot of courage to post. I commend you. Thank you for sharing.

I cook dinners two times per week. I cook on Sunday and am basically making leftovers for Monday and Tuesday evening. If what I am making will last a few more days, I am done until Friday. I plan lunches on Sunday and get my Monday and Tuesday lunch ready on Sunday. Then Wednesday night, I will make dinner for that night…
