Dagnammit, this was years ago! Camera phones weren't invented! You may think I'm joking but it's actually true. Or maybe they had been and I was just too poor to afford one, thus pretending they didn't exist.

My sister once fell asleep whilst walking, and talking to me at the same time. I was suitably impressed.

Instead of all this "Because I'm Canadian" malarkey, let me counter with this... Because I'm Swedish. Now put that up your mum and smoke her.
-
This one...not so much.
-
I vote this one. Humble yet cocky. And Canadian. Although I don't know what that means in practical terms.

I've been told by my personal trainer to weigh myself before doing any exercise, as working your muscles for an extended period can give a higher reading. Maybe try that next time?

I work in food packaging and I can tell you that at least here in the UK, supermarkets have a legal team that ensures all the information they put on the packaging is legally correct. Otherwise, what would be the point of putting it on there? Obviously it's based on an average (so for examlpe, not every single pre-packaged…

I do burlesque dancing once a week and the girl who runs the classes also runs pole dancing classes - all the pole girls are incredibly fit and toned. I've seen them perform and you can see how much they use their arms and core muscles - amazing.

A lot of places seem to sell salads with the dressing in a separate pot, so you could just not have that and eat the salad on its own?

This is so true. I used to think of it as a weakness, and that I wanted to be off them as soon as possible. Now I just think 'well, if there's medication to help me feel better, why not take it? If someone is ill, they wouldn't just suck it up and suffer, would they?'

I live in Didsbury!

Thing is, it's not just about the pesticides affecting YOU. It's about how it affects the soil, the waterways around the farm, etc etc. I'd suggest reading the vegetable chapter in this book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Not-On-Label-Really-Plate/dp/0141015667/ref=pd_sim_b_12

That's a bit of a generalisation. I tried CBT and it got me nowhere, because I needed to look into WHY I was thinking and feeling the way I was. If you want to call that 'complaining and whineing' that's up to you - I call it therapy. And it IS helping me improve my current situation and my future.

I'm doing anti-depressants combined with counselling. Because I had to wait 7 months for counselling, I couldn't have done it without the medication, and equally the medication wouldn't do anything on its own to deal with why I was depressed. So I've found the two together work really well. Having said that, it's possibly…

I get this as well sometimes, it can be after running or after zumba. I don't think it's necessarily to do with what/how much you're eating, it's just quite a common phenomenon and nothing to really worry about. It doesn't feel nice but it's nothing harmful. I've read that it's to do with the blood rushing back to your…

Send it back and ask for a replacement before you fork out for a Polar. I've got the Lloyds pharmacy one and it's absolutely fine - been using it for over a month and I'm very happy with it.

I'm halfway through (did L2 day 6 yesterday) and took my measurements last night: Arms: no loss - boo! Waist: -1 inch Hips: -1,5 inches Thighs: -1 inch I took pictures as well and now I wish I'd measured the top of my thighs as well as the pictures show a MASSIVE difference there. Bring on level 3 - can't wait to see my…

It'll help with both, as you're toning up it'll help you lose weight, since you're working on your main/largest muscle groups.

I agree, you have to be able to enjoy yourself every now and then or you'll fall off the wagon. But as a pointer I find that white wine spritzers made with soda water are really good - soda water is zero calories and it makes the wine last a bit longer. It's also easier to drink for me. If it really bothers you then maybe…

Hello I've been doing it for a while, I'm on day 4 of level 2. It's really good, I've already noticed a massive difference. You'll need some weights of different sizes, and a mat to lie on (unless your carpet is nice and thick). Try doing a search, there's been looooads of discussions on this!

I'm a fan of porridge, my favourite combination so far is raspberries and agave syrup (or honey) - it's so yummy. I make my porridge with milk as I think it's much nicer that way.

I thought this as well - are you working out twice a day? No wonder you can't work up the motivation! I get up earlier to do the 30DS in the morning, but that's partly because I find it easier in the morning, and partly because then I have my evenings free to do whatever I want. I couldn't do two workouts a day, at least…

Um...is this the scientific term? Or the opinion of this 'professionalist' you speak of?

Ruddy hell! That's pretty high! I'll try out one of those fitness tests at the weekend when I've got time and see what it gives. Thanks all for replying
-
Thanks for replying - looks like I'll have to do a proper fitness test at home to try and establish it. Meanwhile I'll keep my HRM at 35. Cheers people
-
Well this is the thing, I'm not an endurance athlete! I was proud the other day of being able to run for 8 minutes straight! I've got asthma which doesn't help, but still - I don't think of myself as particularly fit. Does blood pressure come into it? I do have low blood pressure....
-
Try it again in a bit and let me know what you get!
-
I'm on L2 day 3 (tomorrow morning) - my HRM said I burned 170 calories during L1 and now it says 190 during L2, so it completely depends on the person. I'm 5ft 7 and weigh about 150.

Green tea has been proven time and time again to speed up metabolism - it's something like 3 cups a day can help speed up your metabolism by up to 5%. It's also full of antioxidants which helps eradicate free radicals - these damage your cells so green tea helps protect your body. White tea has even more antioxidants, but…
