I love to chop up an apple and mix it into cottage cheese with a touch of mayo - apple salad, tasty.

It's like the women I saw jogging on the beach in California in their bikinis - at some point their boobs are going to be sagging and they will wish they had been supporting them properly rather than just trying to show everyone how cute they were. Everything catches up with everybody and people who were able to eat…

So great! I have some pants I'm working my way back into, as well. That is a good feeling - probably better than seeing the number on the scale decrease.

First of all, why do people think it is okay to comment on what other people are eating? And it's hard when you're at work and haven't eaten on a regular basis to make good decisions about what to eat, especially if you are stuck at your desk. I struggle with this as I am not much of a planner, bringing the right foods…

Walking really works for weight loss. When I was last serious about getting weight off I did it primarily by walking everywhere. A couple of suggestions to change it up a bit: If you have a smart phone, try the free app Endomondo. It will track your walks - distance, elevation, calories burned and speed. I find myself…

Very helpful, informative article. It's good to know just to try changing one thing in your routine, not everything at once.

They have some dark chocolate "chips" - they are shaped like pringles - you have 12 for 200+ calories, you can be well satisfied with far fewer than 12. Thin, crunchy, delicious. They also have turkey patty "muffins" with a layer of spinach and a layer of mashed potatoes - these are high in sodium, but a nice small size;…

Yes, it can be surprising to find out who your friends really are - but that's a good thing to know, so you can surround yourself with the people who truly want the best for you.

I think if you "bump" it makes a post easy for you to find later.

Great recipes. I've been meaning to eat more salmon.

Face, then boobs.

Try drugstore.com, too. They have good prices.

I especially like the free mustard drizzle. :)

Great topic! My goals for April are to work out with my kettlebell 3 times a week, not let work interfere with getting healthy, and drop to size 14. Oh, and increase my average speed via my Endomondo app.

I've always been opposed to counting points. I was opposed to tracking food, too, but MFP makes it so easy. The database is fantastic, and it's great that you can choose to track other nutrients too, like salt. The mobile app is very convenient.

For the blisters, you need to make sure your shoes fit correctly and you wear great socks with wicking and padding. There are socks that are two layers so the layer next to your foot doesn't chafe as you run. I have a bunion on one foot and it hurts all the time, but I just walk through it. I do have to listen to my feet…

All processed foods have too much salt. I was way over last night because I had some deli sliced turkey, which was way too high. I'm trying to at least drink a lot of water if I have to much sodium in a day.

Congratulations! And you look great, I must say. I look forward to "having" to eat more as I lose weight!

Sad to say, but weight seems far easier to put on than take off! Hang in there, and you will find something that works to take the weight off. Your body may just be re-adjusting to your new regimen.

Oatmeal with some Stevia and peanut butter or PB2 really sticks with me through the morning. I have heard for some people oatmeal can cause some bloating or constipation, but I've not had that issue. Every body is different.

I use it mixed into protein shakes and oatmeal. I also discovered it is better mixed into the oatmeal after it is cooked, otherwise it does tend to get lumpy. I have a recipe for peanut butter mixed into Greek yogurt to dip apple slices into for a snack. I haven't tried it with PB2 yet, but expect it will work well. This…

This is a great site, and very supportive folks on here. I have avoided writing down what I eat, not wanting to be ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE. I like to think I'm a creative free spirit. But I have been humbled to see how much I have really been eating for years. No wonder I'm in this shape! The nutrients list is very interesting…

I know for me when I start eating more sensibly and losing weight everything else that I need to work on in my life, i.e., a job that is boring, becomes very clear. I become dissatisfied with my life as I become healthier. Losing the weight definitely doesn't fix everything, it sometimes just puts a spotlight on the other…

Well, I am amazed by how different the doctor's scale is from mine at home, so I don't really pay attention to what that scale says. Since I am generally logging with my home scale that's the number that matters. I take my shoes off when I weigh myself. I have some MBT's which are very heavy shoes!

It certainly gets easier, and it is so fabulous when you notice you are feeling lighter. I donated my car, so am forced to alfdo my errands walking and with public transportation thrown into the mix. I quickly learned that those shopping bags feel light when you leave the store, but about halfway home they feel more like…

I'm learning so much, and love MFP. It's just so great to be able to look at my calories and exercise and nutrition each day. I really do plan out my meals to stay within my chosen parameters. I've learned that I really can go to the movies and not eat a big bag of popcorn with butter by myself! I've learned how much…

I add a bit of lemon to my water, and I really have to concentrate to get that water down. If I get distracted sometimes an evening goes by and my full glass is still sitting there.

I use my iPod walking, so am always looking for good walking beats. I'm a bit embarassed to admit that my current favorite is What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction - gets me moving fast. Also Bruce Springsteen's We Take Care of Our Own. Kelli Pickler: Tough.

I don't have an HRM, but I use the Endomondo app on my LG phone. It tracks my walks, and since I'm moving faster I'm now burning more calories. I always use a smaller number than Endomondo gives me, and don't eat back all of my exercise calories - but maybe half of them.
