I use this thought process a lot to get me thru my weight loss journey. How do you eat an elephant? The same way you eat anything else, one bite at a time. Take it one day at a time. This didn't happen over night so it wont unhappen over night. Set small goals so you don't get overwhelmed or discouraged.

Ok I am in. I need something to push me and set a goal. I am fairly new to running so I will have a very small goal but this will only be running, walking or treadmill miles. My goal is 25 miles for the month of June.

Sounds to me like he got what he wanted...the squat rack to himself. He was just a royal pain in the ars but he got what he wanted. Let him try that with the wrong person and see what happens.

I was wondering about this as I am doing a dirty run in about 2 weeks. I like the suggestion of the cellophane wrap. Thanks.

I workout at lunch. I am lucky enough to have a gym here at work. If you don't have time to do a big workout, break it down into smaller 10 minute sessions. Try including the kids as part of the workout. I used to use the babies to do my leg lifts. They loved it. I would put my feet on their belly and hold their hands. I…

My husband and I both have this problem. We do so well thru the week and then when we are together we just have no will power. I didn't even think about leaving a deficit thru the week so on the weekends its not such a blow to my progress. As for this post... Why is time spent at a restaurant considered higher quality than…

My hair...everyone loves my hair. Strangers compliment me on how it smells and looks all the time.

Not a huge loss but I'm pretty proud and still working hard!

Just stepping away and saying no to the Starbucks coffee brought in by my boss made a major difference in my cals. Then I started making my on version minus all the sugar and creamer and flavoring they put in it and lost major cals. I'm so glad because I have become dependent on my coffee in the morning for my co-workers…

I depends on what I am doing but I average 300 -400 per session.

Yeah that is kind of what I have decided but I thank everyone for all the input and helpful info. Going tonight to get new earphones and next try is Saturday. Thanks everyone.

I do use the songs...I know about how many songs I have left to run...kinda dumb maybe but it works for me. In my head...probably...I need to get another set of earphones to run with...it helps me tune out everything else. And for those saying I am going to fast...this is the same pace I have ran my other runs. Nothing…

Thank you...for this info. I am a newbie yall can see. I feel really stupid about some of the things that apparently most everyone else knows. I will try to stagger my runs in distance and pace. Hopefully that will help some.

Well I love beets...I have eaten them my whole life. I will be adding more of them to my diet. What do you mean by starting too fast? I warm up with a 5 minute walk...then run at the same pace for the full 30 minutes and then a 5 minute cool down.
-
I am not up to running the full 3 miles yet and I know that. I run at a very slow pace to make sure I can complete the 30 minute run. I am up to about 2.75. I was just curious if it was me...or my body.

Ok this peaked my interest...I love BEETS so this would be good...is there a reason for beets?
