  • i get numb feet every time i go on the elliptical i've tried different shoes, socks, standing positions and nothing helps i just lift one foot off for a few secs as i start to feel the tingling and then it seems to go away
  • Today i finished the final run of couch to 5k!! I felt so happy that i managed it without having to repeat any weeks and my first 5K is in a week !!!
  • Today i finished run 3 of week 9 WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have completed Couch to 5K !!:smile: :happy: :laugh: :tongue: :drinker:
  • well did week 9 run 1 at the spa hotel i went to on my birthday friday as we had access to all the leisure facilities, it was great, went for a run on sunday and was lucky to make it to 10 mins before i had to stop for a breather!!! today i did week 9 run 2 and hit the stop button by accident 20 mins into the run, totally…

  • Week 8 is done onto week 9 the final week 3 x 30 min runs. I ran outside in the rain today I didn't quite get it non-stop as I had to use the bathroom halfway through even though I haven't had a drink this morning, but it only took like a min so I made up for the extra minute. I pushed through and I didn't realistically…
  • there are 14lbs to stone, as long as you know that it's simple
  • Week 8 day 2 is done, I mix it up and use all the equipment at the gym, like the rowing machines, bikes and weights etc. i also use body weight exercises and yoga as a cool down, i think i'd get bored if i did the same thing all the time :tongue:

  • Fantastic progress Alex, week 8 run 1 is done, I was struggling a little bit today, I managed the 28 min run without stopping but my focus was a bit off today ! next run on friday !!
  • I have a 5K race on 22nd July the 'Race for life' in aid of cancer research uk :happy: at the moment i can do it in about 38 mins but hoping to improve on that i am on week 8 at the moment
  • Week 7 is done and dusted on to week 8 now 3 x 28 min straight runs !! :smile:
  • Yay for Alex !!! Today me and my mum practised for the 5K we are doing in July, me jogging, her walking and we did the official race route and even though I couldn't do it all non stop jogging and had to take a bathroom break as well it only took me 38 mins yay !!
  • i am currently on week 7 and run on a mon weds & fri and strength train on tues and thurs and my weekends are for relaxing :laugh:
  • week 7 run 2 is done, practised different breathing techniques today and found that singing or rather mouthing the words as i went along helped with my breathing and mental focus !!
  • Week 7 Run 1 is done its the same as week 6 run 3 for me but 3 runs of the same this week, my legs were achy today but have been back on the weights so hopefully after a weekend rest monday's run will be fine :smile:
  • I live in a city which part of is an island and i live on the island part, if there were no bridges you would have to use a boat to get to it :laugh:

  • Week 6 run 3 the 25 min straight run is done was good although i have a tweak in my Achilles tendon so hopefully rest and elevation will help, then back to it friday on to week 7
  • I missed the gym this last week with it being the school hols and lack of childcare !!, but we decorated his room so i kept busy hehe, but i definitely felt it not being there for a week, Week6 run 3 on monday :smile:
  • Did week 6 run 2 today was fine apart from an achy leg and it was like a week between runs, on to run 3 on Monday :happy:
  • Did week 6 run 1 today outside with a little wind, it was hard but i did it! !:happy:
  • week 5 run 3 the dreaded 20 mins straight is done, and i am so happy it is definatly mind over matter :smile:
  • running outside is much harder than on a treadmill as you can't keep a constant pace, there are things to take into account such as wind resistance, weather, and the evenness of the ground and the gradient. I started out on c25k outside, and i love to run outside but if the weather is a bit poo i will run on a treadmill…
  • week5 run2 is done, i did it outside today, just dropped my son to school then went for a run, then on to cycling everywhere for my errands today :happy: , now to pick my son up from school
  • finally got it working the seafront in the glorious sunshine the rock garens thought i'd share some pics with you all of the weather in sunny southern england !! lovely running spots, in the background of the pics of the sea is the Isle of Wight
  • will post my pics when i can get photo bucket working some of my photo's have been deleted and no longer show up here, i don't know whats up with it, i didn't delete any of them :ohwell: , hopefully they'll sort it out soon
  • i am watching what i eat and doing c25k and weights on the days i don't run and rest at the weekends

  • i finished week 4 and feel confident enough to move onto week 5 on monday !! I find that if i focus on a spot in the distance i don't think about the running much, more on the thing in the distance, try that Smiles x
