  • today was supposed to be my rest day, but due to my sis being taken into hospital i biked up there and back to see, hope you all had a nice weekend !!
  • My sister had surgery today 5 and a half hours and they removed 8 cysts from her ovaries, she was very lucky that she didn't lose her ovary as the biggest cyst was 10cm, she's doing ok now i spent all day at the hospital today and she should be coming home tomorrow (Monday) and that's her birthday too
  • Finished week 2 today, i really need to get some new running shoes, both my feet went numb today, but different trainers so rest now till Monday and hopefully Tuesday I can buy some new running shoes as it's payday !!! Only my low calorie wine tonight as plans have been cancelled as my sister has ended up in the hospital,…
  • This made me smile so much and a little chuckle as well
  • my right foot has been a bit sensitive today so have been resting it as much as possible, did a little toning today and had another cold bath and the foot feels ok for tomorrow, so will take it easy !! I need to earn some alcohol calories for tomorrow night !!
  • have you got your activity level on MFP correct, it should be on moderate if you exercise 3 - 5 times a week if you need to go to custom in goals & change your calorie amount to your BMR and try to net that at least hope this helps
  • YES !!!!!!!!! been there many a time, sometimes your body changes shape first then the weight comes off if you just want to lose inches though, try toning exercises
  • use the military body fat calc, that is what i was told to use and the one that everyone seems to recommend, but it's up to you even if you only use it to work out your BMR and net your BMR or close to it daily for example my BMR is 1617 today my MFP target for moderatly active is 1810 calories, I have eaten 1731 calories…
  • fat2fit also mentions when you read it that those are the calories that you should eat to maintain at your goal weight!!, and that if you deduct some from that total you will lose weight from fat2fit ''Based on how much activity you do on an average day, the calories in the right column will be the number of calories that…
  • personally i prefer the BMR calc on fat2fit as it takes into account your body fat % and my goal weight at 5ft 5in is 134-140lbs which in in the middle of my low - high healthy weight range for my height. I try to eat at least 1500 cals and my BMR is 1617, i do try to get as close to this as possible, and i mean net…
  • did W2 D3 today and to be honest i struggled a bit, this could be because of a few things, it was windy, my shoes are now dead (RIP shoes) i ended up with a numb right foot by the last run !! or because i had eaten less than an hour before even though it was only light, I was being stalked by a massive black rain cloud out…
  • i'm going to start doing pilates/ toning with light weights in between my run days ie. run / pilates/ run/ pilates/ run/ rest 2 days. Went swimming today with my little boy and just spent most of the 1.5hrs treading water lol
  • i am on week 2 day 3 of c-2-5k and my advice would be, make sure you take rest days as in do the plan every other day so that you can allow your body to catch up, i remember run 1 week 1, was fine, run 2 week 2 was really hard, run 3 week 1 was a piece of cake as i had allowed the rest days between runs, and also warming…
  • i know what you mean about wanting to run everyday  i have to think patience is the thing if i go out again tomorrow it's gonna hurt the next day !!, I am supposed to do day 3 of week 2 today but we are going swimming so may do day 3 tomorrow instead so i don't get too worked out !!
  • exactly !!
  • Loving this, saw it on someone's blog and had to borrow it, great motivation for the days when you think i can't do this !!

  • i have slight shin pain but it goes away when my muscles warm up, it could just be a tight muscle, I am saving up for a good pair of running shoes as i know i need good arch support, my feet lean inwards (called overpronating) and wear out the inside of the shoe first, at the moment (touch wood) my sketchers are still…
  • I have one of these http://www.sportsdirect.com/karrimor-bottle-belt-764020?colcode=76402043, it's a bargain it has reflective bands on it and a strap to secure the water bottle the pocket is big enough to fit my blackberry in which has an emergency app that has all my emergency details on it, and my house key and some…

  • did week 2 day 2 today, started out on my manual treadmill as it's raining, but the slight gradient was hurting my calf muscles after the 5 min warm up walk, so luckily I have a large flat/apartment so I walked laps around my house and jogged laps. I have a long hallway so it's brilliant. I wore my HRM and I burnt roughly…
  • read this, it seems to be the general consensus http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/538381-in-place-of-a-road-map i have the same problem only losing little bits or nothing at all and am going to give this a try !!
  • all advice I have read so far point to cold baths and/ or ice packs on the sore muscles to help reduce the swelling and inflammations as warm baths make it worse, i know that from experience !!!
  • i'm not really a choccy person apart from that 1 week a month that is obvious to most ladies  , i prefer to buy my son a gift for easter and a few small eggs made from the over sweet choccy i don't like so no tempting me there

  • i used to go to weight watchers and now slimming world, both have a weekly weigh in with very good scales and group sessions. I found that having made friends there was brilliant, they all helped you when you were struggling and congratulated you on the good weeks, if that's what you need then go for it xx
