My boyfriend is 6'2'' and weighs around 190 - he's broad and built a little like a football player, so he's muscular and not too skinny. Whatever you're comfortable with on your body type - if you're confident and like the way you look, so will others :)

Wow, so happy to see so much input! I'm content with having 'earned my stripes' as well, I just thought I'd ask for advice on the subject from people who know what they're talking about. Thanks, everyone :)

I have a knee injury so I'm taking it slow... 60 minute walk in the woods with the one I love :)

Yeah, considering it's the IT band I'm not sure if I would even be able to go swimming because it would still rub up against the knee cap.. will inquire when I see the PT :) Any suggestions for ab exercises that don't involve knee-bending?

You are beautiful and your progress is amazing! Congrats to you to persisting and keeping up your determination to achieve your goal despite your internal struggles and external influences. When I see success stories like yours, they motivate me to achieve my goals because, if someone who is going through all of those…

A bikini (for the first time in my life!!!) and a massage... :)

I am by no means a professional, but from what I've read elsewhere, if you're eating around or below 1200 calories, your body may be in 'starvation mode' and your metabolism could be slowing down, which would explain the lack of weight loss. Every body type is different, though, and some people only need 1200 calories. I…

Find a workout buddy or just someone to go walking with - a friend, family member, co-worker.. anyone! Having someone else around with similar goals helps you to hold yourself accountable and stick with your goals. I agree with previous comments - join a new class, try a new sport, etc! Change up your routine and get a…

I actually didn't realize I had gained weight a couple of years ago until I went to the doctor this past summer. I was jokingly complaining about needing to get on the scale, and she commented that I shouldn't be; I had lost almost 30 pounds since my last appointment a year earlier! I hadn't realized how heavy I had gotten…

I rewarded myself for just mustering up the will power and determination to really set my mind to losing weight and joining MFP! I bought an 'anchor bracelet' (literally, in my case), which keeps me 'anchored' to my goals by being visible all the time when I'm out and about. It's a sort of grounding reminder of why I want…

Requested :) I'm 5'10" with about 10-15 more pounds to lose, but those are always the hardest it seems! :s Friendship and motivation are always awesome!!

Congrats! You look great - I can really see the different in your face!! Keep up the great work!

You all look so great, keep up the good work! I don't know how to add pictures and I've only lost 8 pounds.. you're all an inspiration and I hope that I can be posting such dramatically different pictures soon!!

I'm a size 10 - hips are 39 and waist is 30 :) Congrats on your weight loss so far, keep up the great work and look forward to losing more sizes!!

I injured my knee a week before starting with MFP, and I've lost 8 lbs so far just changing the way I eat and walking to classes every day. I also do yoga three times a week, which might not be a bad idea for your ankle if you modify some poses. Maybe try swimming, abdominal exercises, upper-body oriented things, etc? Any…

I always eat breakfast (I tend to get sick if I don't), but I struggle with the water requirement... I just get two glasses of water with each meal and force myself to drink them. I don't mind the taste of water itself - I just don't ever consciously think about drinking water...

If you're eating too little, your body can go into 'starvation mode' and your metabolism will slow down. Eating more calories (from good food!) will speed up your metabolism and kick-start your weight loss! Just make sure those extra calories are coming from healthy things (fruit, veggies, healthy fats, etc) and not sweets…

You look so great! Keep it up, you're doing great!!

Such great progress, congrats!!

My BMR is 1560, but MFP had me eating 1360 to lose 1-1.5lbs per week. Just updated it to lose 1lb per week, and my calorie goal went up to 1610. Should I be eating less than that to lose weight? I have a knee injury so I can't exercise more than just walking to class and such... I'm with everyone else, confused!

You look so fantastic!!! Great job!

You look AMAZING! I hope that I have as much success as you!! :)
