Where is everyone? Hope you are all having a good week. It's Friday, so I know it's HIGHS and LOWS. I actually have something to share. HIGHS: I am officially BACK ON TRACK!!! I've gotten four workouts in so far this week and it feels fantastic! And despite it being a very hectic week, I managed to "just do it!"…

Nevermind... :blushing: there's already been quite a response about it and I've just been too busy to notice the change. No big deal. I actually do like seeing the feeds without all the clutter. I'll just have to post my goals on my profile now.

Are we no longer allowed to have customized "signatures" on the message boards? I went to change mine and the only option that's available is whether my ticker is located at the bottom. Did someone ruin it for the rest of us?

I am doing P90X and provide care for my 73-year old mother-in-law who suffers from Parkinson's and requires a lot of lifting and transferring. I am sore and may wince a bit, but I haven't dropped her or anything drastic. I think you'll be fine.

Question of the Day: I want everyone to reflect on this challenge and tell me why it is they joined in the first place. I want us all to refocus starting today! Just last week I had gotten congrats and praise for logging in for 95 straight days. But I didn't deserve it. I logged in, but I didn't fully participate in this…

Stronger heart means it doesn't have to work as hard to do the same activity as before.

How do you try to balance your everyday life with your new healthier lifestyle? What struggles do you have? What works for you? I thought I had this all figured out until recently. There are three phases every year for my family since my husband is a teacher. There's the school year winding down phase when things are…

Highs: Have the motivation to get this body moving again! Lows: Ditto on the Halloween candy. Those bite-size pieces are dangerous!

I was just wondering the same thing. I know I, myself, am recovering from the crazy week that led up to Halloween on Monday.

I feel you on the need for variety. I am doing P90X workouts, but have created my own workout schedule that incorporates some of my fave P90X workouts, jogging, 30DS, and some Insanity workouts. I am more consistent if I have a pre-set schedule written out, but I definitely get bored if I am doing the same thing over and…

I am up 1.5 lbs this week. I have been HORRIBLE with logging every calorie because of these bite-size Halloween treats. If I eat one and don't log it right away, by the end of the day I've forgotten what I ate. Anyhooo! Back to work today. My schedule this week will go a bit something like this: Tuesday: Chest and Back…

He might be a keeper afterall!

I have found that this is the greatest place to vent! FB doesn't offer the kind of support you get from people here!! I am so sorry to hear that your man is not stepping up to the plate. Relationships are A LOT of work and A LOT of give and take. For you to give, give, give, and have him not do the same is not fair to you…

My dream job when I was growing up was to be a marine biologist training dolphins for the U.S. Navy. After visiting my family down south a few years back, I think if I could, I would love to educate obese children and their parents on what it takes to live balanced lives. I have a second cousin who is 14 years old and…

This was a horrible week for me! Can't wait for tomorrow!!

My greatest triumph has been finishing P90X and Insanity. I started P90x three times before I actually stuck with it and finished it all the way through. I am trying to muster up the motivation to do another full round, but find that my brain is yearning for some variety. So I may have to try another of the Beachbody…

The words that keep me going are from the play "Rent" - "No day but today." It is a constant reminder to myself to live in the moment and to not focus on what happened yesterday or what tomorrow will bring. I do dream about the future and what all these wonderful changes will mean for me and my family, but I remember…

I really should do Insanity again.

LW: 169.8 CW: 168.7 I've been able to stay consistent with my eating and keeping my calories under control. But like so many of you, I struggle to be consistent with my workouts. I had been doing P90X but suddenly got bored with the workouts. My mind was yearning for something different. And so I started jogging but find…

Highs: Drinking lots and lots of water. Lows: My diary lately has way too many carbs! Need to pay more attention to that since I am not working out 2 hours a day.

This site uses a Navy method for calculating body fat %. http://www.scientificpsychic.com/fitness/diet.html Be sure to do your measurements in centimeters as it says that is the most accurate for the calculation. I don't know how widely this is accepted, but it's an option that is out there.

That seems so incredibly impossible to me. And how does a scale figure that out? Something seems a bit off with that number.

My A-HA moment happened this February when two things happened to me. The first was when we were celebrating my husband's birthday at a beer festival and a friend took a photo of me with my dad. I didn't recognize the person in the photo. She looked as miserable as she felt. And the second was that same month. My husband…

That is FANTASTIC! You are inspiring!!!

QOTD: My biggest trigger is boredom or procrastination. If I am trying to avoid doing something hard or am bored with I am doing, I tend to reach for a snack, be it healthy or unhealthy. I now give myself hourly breaks during work to walk the halls, walk the stairs, or just do something active to keep my mind off food. I…

I increased my calories for a week to 1800 (after eating between 1200 to 1400). After that week, I then resumed eating fewer calories and got the scale moving again after a 3-week plateau.

WOW! You are doing so great! Keep up the great work!

I've determined that those options aren't for me. I've tried pills in the past and they made me feel HORRIBLE! I don't begrudge anyone who does try either of those options, and if asked my opinion, I would caution them to carefully weigh their options and to listen to their bodies very carefully. I know that desperate…

I weighed in on Saturday at 169.8!!! After 4 weeks of being stuck right around 170-172, I got below 170! Hopefully this will be a turning point for my body to let go of the final 30 pounds. As for the question of the day, my goal this week is to get in 5 good quality workouts. My TOM started yesterday and that generally…

Highs: I've felt good about the stuff I've been putting in my body this week. And while it has been a very hectic week, I've managed to get some sort of activity in each day. Lows: I've gotten bored with my normal workout routine. I was doing a second round of P90X and started week 5. But my heart isn't in it. So I've been…
