That is without any exercise calories added in. If you exercise, eat those calories back.
-
Then you should be eating 1400 calories at the very least.

What's your current height and weight?

In high school, running a mile in 20 minutes meant you passed the gym class for the year, and if you couldn't do it in 20 the first time, you had to run it again. I was not remotely overweight in high school, but I was a terrible runner -- I always came in within seconds of hitting 20 minutes (and I practically killed…

Out of curiosity, how many calories were you consuming when you were gaining weight? You said "too many" but you didn't mention the number.
-
Right now you're giving your body negative amounts of calories with the way that you are eating so low that your exercise is actually burning off all that you're eating and then some. The goal number that is on your food diary each day is the amount that you should be eating. When you add in exercise, the goal goes up and…

Great progress! Keep up the good work!

How is a good question, I almost forgot where they put that setting! Go to FOOD, then under food, go to SETTINGS, and after Nutrients Tracked and Meal Names, there's DIARY SHARING. Making it public allows anyone to see it so it is not limited to yourself or your friends. :)

R.I.C.E. = Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation Go easy on your knee. If it's swollen or bothering you, let it rest so it can heal. I got a knee injury a few years back and the resulting issues limit what exercises I can do. Take care of your knees or you could do real damage! As for why you're not losing weight, an open…

I don't know what goes first for me, but my muffin-top gut and 2nd chin always seem to be last. My legs can fit into smaller pants than my waist will allow, it's so frustrating! I guess my legs and ribs/stomach-area go first.

Just water and tea for me. I can't remember the last time I had a drink. It's probably been about a year or so.

In my opinion, there's only a few occasions that I can think of when fasting is worth it: - religious occasions - preparing for a blood test at the doctor's office - preparing to go in for a planned surgery

My goal to lose isn't as quick as yours, and my weight loss efforts are far from perfect, but I'm 5'3" and currently 148 lbs. I'm taking a very relaxed, slow approach right now. I'm not doing any particular exercise program, I kind of just do whatever I'm in the mood for day by day...which is more realistic for me in the…

I get what you're saying, but that would drive me crazy on my own food log. I see logging as a learning tool. If I under-ate one day, I want to be able to see that. If I had too much sodium the next day and went up a pound the day after that, I want to be able to go back in my diary and see that so I can try to figure out…

5'3" and 27 years old here. My highest weight was 170 lbs back in late 2010. I've since lost 22 pounds. At 148, right now I'm just aiming to get to 140 and then will reset my goal around 130. I'm taking it kind of slow right now though, I'll be happy just to be 140 lbs by the end of the year.

I think your problem is trying to eat too few calories. It's good for a quick drop, but then slows everything down. You should figure out a more appropriate amount of calories for yourself and reset your calorie goals on your food diary. http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

I guess it depends on what the arguments are over. Are you undereating? Are you on drugs? I'd say anything that puts your health in jeopardy could send a mother into some pretty crazy behavior. Or maybe it is what someone else said, just having a hard time letting her baby go.

I typically ask for the dressing on the side so I can control how much dressing I actually eat. I usually push most of the croutons and cheese off to the side too so I can get a better visual for just how much of those I eat too. I think the calories are mostly from the dressings they drown the salad in anyway. Once you…

I was too tired last night to give my own summary so I just posted the link, but I'm more awake now so.... Basically, there were studies being done that are not yet fully conclusive, but from the study done about a year ago, it appears that the amount of fructose in your diet may not play that big of a role in gaining…

My doctor has me go in for a blood test before my annual appointment every year. If your doctor does the same, just call ahead and ask for a blood glucose test be added to that. And then be sure to fast for 12 hrs beforehand.

This!

Holy moly! Look at you! Amazing! Good luck with the half marathon!

You work out hard with weights but you're barely meeting your protein goals? You might want to consider increasing your protein so you can fuel your muscles. If I were you, I'd worry more about that and less about the sugar you're getting from natural fruit sources.

Can you have any say over what sweets they get? Try getting them to stop buying so much candy. Then you'll be more eager to fill the void with something else. If your parents won't buy the fresh fruits and veggies, the canned are at least better than none at all. Maybe try some frozen veggies as well. Do you like apple…

Great progress! You have every reason to be proud :)

Lower your sodium intake so that it is 1,500mg minimum. For anything that can be too high, there is a too low also so you don't want to go below that amount, but maybe somewhere between 1,500-1,700 mg would be a good range to aim for. Adding cardio helps also.

I went through a similar break-up when I was 21. After a year and a half, he told me I was too good for him and he broke up with me. He was going through a lot of stuff of his own and working weird hours. I cried my eyes out a lot after the break-up and felt sick to my stomach for at least a couple of weeks. But I refused…

It seems to me the things that are going to help you most are... - think positive - keep going to the gym - eat more calories Your BMR for a sedentary lifestyle is 1524 calories, so eat that AND eat back all of your exercise calories -- you said you have tried everything but then you said you haven't tried that. Try that,…

Pay attention to the people telling you to eat more. I did the 1200-ish thing when I started on the site a little over a year ago, and I ate back my exercise calories for the most part. I lost quite a bit in the first couple of months. Then the weight got a lot harder to take off. I started gaining and losing the same few…
