If you have lost 94 pounds, and you are obsessing over water weight, you need to dial it back a notch. Seriously. Get some counseling. I'm not being sarcastic, or trying to be a jerk. Your life will be better when you have a healthy attitude towards food and your body image, which is doubtful if what you are reporting here…

If you are really aggressive trying to lose weight by going way under on your calories it will work really well for a while. Most people though, get to the point where the have to start raising their calories in order to start losing weight again. That's just the scuttlebutt I get from the boards. The calories that MFP…

All Hail The Hat? I have been out for too long. Thanks for that post. It's a good one.

My heart, lungs and legs, core and some upper body. I don't work on my body to be a poser. I work on it so I can do things with it.

it is almost impossible to overcook chicken thighs. Breast meat can be a lot more tricky. Get a meat thermometer, and do some research on what chefs consider to be proper cooking temps. The FDA guidelines are a little high IMHO.

You look fantastic. Way to go!!

Maybe we should add to this, "I have the penis, I make the rules." Well, if you think you can get away with that.

I am going to start training for a half marathon in the spring. Winter it typically pretty mild here in the valley I live in, and if things get ugly I will just go snow shoeing. To clarify, I will not be running a half marathon this spring. I found a program that will train you to run/walk a half marathon. The race is the…

If I ate carbs like that I would be really hungry all the time. They just don't fill me up, so I end up always going over on my calories. That's just me. I read a study recently which showed that people with carb heavy diets tend to show higher numbers on blood indicators for heart disease. People who ate too few carbs…

I have similar goals to you. I eat about 2600 calories a day before exercise. I eat back my exercise calories. I lose weight. It's not fast, but it comes off. My philosophy towards this whole thing is I don't intend to eat in a way that I don't see myself sustaining for five years. If I am always hungry, then I will change…

If you pick up where you left off, you probably won't even notice that you did it. Don't be so hard on yourself. You are not a victim of circumstance, and you have nothing to feel guilty about. This weekend you chose comfort over weight loss. Good for you. It sounds like you want to begin choosing weight loss over comfort…

I am just going to throw this out there. Grass fed beef. That expensive fru-fru stuff you get at the health food store. Yeah, it's freaking amazing for hamburgers. I find the steaks are a little lean to just straight barbecue, but the burgers are off the hook.
-
A burger is a fantastic choice. If you are worried about the calories just remove all or half the bun. You aren't in prison, you are just changing you lifestyle so that you can get to your correct weight. Unless you are planning to never eat a burger again for the rest of your life you are going to have to figure out how…

Winco for most stuff, their prices are amazing. Albertson's or the health food Co-op for pretty much everything else. Occasionally Walmart, but not often because they aren't in my normal driving pattern.

I love cardio and I despise lifting. I'm sure I will get into lifting this winter, but the idea of exercising indoors when it is this beautiful out just makes me sad. I even suspended my gym membership until late fall. I just won't go in there so there isn't any point.

Not big on fake foods. Though I like frozen yogurt so that isn't a huge sacrifice. If I feel like eating ice cream I eat ice cream. If I have a hankering for a big cheeseburger with bacon and avocado I tear that thing up, but I usually make it at home and don't have fries or potato salad with it. If I feel the hankering…

I never have people do that to me. Get new friends. Your's are *kitten*.

All I can say is, thank god I am a big guy and eat 2300 calories a day. I would have to make some DRASTIC lifestyle changes to hit half that, which is where most of the women on this site are.

I can keep most treats around the house and only eat them when they fit in my calorie budget, which is quite often. There are a few things that, if they are in my reach, I will consume. I will still have those things when the occasion arises, but I won't keep them around the house.

Victoria's Secret is in the middle of their semi-annual sale.   Ok, in all seriousness, you can do pretty good for getting friends by reading the forums and just friending people who sound like someone you would trust getting advice from. Feel free to add me if you like sarcastic *kitten* hats.

Seriously, not nearly enough bacon.

Sounds just like me before I started this journey. Stop being so judgey of someone who isn't in the same place you are now. You have your own problems with food, or you wouldn't be here.
-
You aren't burning more than you consume. So the problem is that you aren't taking in less calories than you are burning. If you were burning more calories than you were consuming, you would lose weight. As far as it not being simple, well, the metabolism can be a mysterious beast.

I love both, but recently have developed quite a fondness for sweet.

The machines at the gym can be off too. Get a HRM to more accurately gauge your calorie burn. Other than that I have no advice. I have 80+ pounds left to lose, so I have no idea what it's like getting rid of that last 20. Good luck. Don't give up.

Well said.

The egg is a fine smoker. It can be a bit small for feeding a crowd, but the steady temp on it is pretty amazing.

You can't target where you lose fat, you can only target where you build muscle. Building muscle will help with definition, but you will have to lose fat over all before that definition shows through.

You must be staaaacked if you can fit a whole sports bar under there. ;)
