I wish I could help you, but according to my doctor, I've done the best I can to control my blood sugar levels with diet/exercise (I'm 5'5" 136 lbs). I'm type 2, but it has very little to do with my weight, and everything to do with genetics. My A1C increased from 5.8 to 6.1 after 6 months of mad exercise and diet control.…

Garbage disposal. I hate rutabaga! lol! My friend likes to mash them with sweet potatoes, carrots and white potatoes. She was convinced I'd like them, but nope. Still hate them. :ohwell:

Happens to me, too, if I push off the ball of my foot. If I keep my weight on my heel, I'm fine.

I had a severe case of shingles 6 years ago, when I was 50. Mine was unbearable, and I have a fairly high pain tolerance. It started out with a slight discomfort under my bra along my ribs. Within a few days, I developed a blistery rash and I couldn't bear for anything to touch it. I was reading an article in the…

Yeah, don't do that. You'll dilute the sodium in your body and cause all kinds of problems.
-
No. Just be clean.

I don't log the daily picking up, dishes, laundry, etc. But I log if I'm dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing floors, washing windows, etc.

Every symptom you have describes athlete's foot. It's highly contagious so don't walk around barefoot until it's cleared up. Good luck!

I never have to pee when I run, but a good run will act as a laxative for me! :embarassed:

Just keep plugging along and keep your eye on the prize! You'll see changes in time, but not if you stop. I'm a very slow loser (8 lbs since Feb!), but I'm at the gym 6 days/week doing lots of everything (cardio, weights, aqua fit, belly dancing, etc.) and I've definitely lost inches. I can tell in how much better my…

I'm counting on it!

My 2 favorites are Greek God Honey Vanilla and Trader Joe's Honey. Both are soooo good. Trader Joe's has 0% fat and regular. I prefer the texture of the regular.
-
I prefer the old fashioned. It seems like a lot more and I stay full longer. I just started mixing in a tablespoon of peanut butter and cut up banana. Soooo good!

I have 2 or 3 Dove Dark Chocolate Promises (slowly melt in my mouth - yum.....) or 1/2 cup slow churned ice cream at night. At about 100 calories, it's just enough to give me a sweet treat without going over calories for the day.

I automatically weigh everything now. I used to measure with cups and measuring spoons, but stuff settles and/or you can easily overfill a cup with dry food. Now I know everything is accurate. I got mine for Xmas last year and it was my favorite gift!

I wash mine after every workout. I figure that's what the small load option is for on my washer! I always air-dry them, so I don't worry about wasting energy there. I really like wearing fresh smelling workout clothes. It's a reward for my hard work in the gym.

I wouldn't say it's any harder to lose weight as we get older. It just takes a heck of a lot longer! :ohwell: I work out 6 days a week for 1-3 hours alongside my much younger friends (I'm 56 and they're 30s-40s). We each wear heart rate monitors and compare our calorie burns after class. I typically burn 250-350…

Wow. waisted78 - Try drinking more water than you're currently drinking. Sounds counter-intuitive, but it'll help balance out the water in your body. Also, take a look at your carbs and sodium and lower them if you can. EDIT: Oops - saw you just posted that you drink like a fish. You should weigh yourself at the same…

7 lbs in 7 months. I've been a maniac at the gym and have increased my muscle mass, so I'm not too upset. At this rate, I should be at goal weight in a year (14 more lbs). :grumble:

Yeah, I hate push ups. :noway: I'm now able to do 10 on my knees on a good day, but I had to start doing them against a wall, then a counter top, and gradually worked my way down to the floor. I could probably do 1 or 2 straight leg ones, but I haven't tried yet. I probably should give it a go. :ohwell:

Well..... I would go to the doctor to get it checked out before changing/adding anything to your exercise routine. You may need to treat it with rest, ibuprofen, cold/hot compresses and let it heal. My left knee acts up on occasion, so I try to take it easy in cardio kickbox, and it usually takes care of itself.

Ditto!

I just looked at the progress in your pictures. Don't you see the changes from the first week?? You are doing so well! I wouldn't even worry about the scale if I were you.
-
Are you eating enough during the day? I find that if I restrict myself too much before dinner, it's really hard to stay out of the kitchen at night. But if I've eaten most of my calories by 7 pm, I feel more satisfied.

Yum! I need a new recipe to wow my family! Thanks for sharing!

This is exactly what I get, plus the hot sauce and corn relish (it adds a crunchy sweetness that I've become addicted to  ). I sometimes have them put about 1 Tablespoon of cheese on it, but I like it without, too. And I can get 2 meals out of 1 burrito bowl!

I'm a type 2 diabetic, and started counting my sugar grams a few weeks ago. Shocked is all I can say! :noway: I eat very little processed, sugary food so I figured out that the majority of my sugar was coming from natural sources and it was in complex carbohydrate sources - yogurt (plain, not the fruity kind), milk, fruit,…

First - congrats on joining the gym! Now for the soreness, soak in a hot tub with epsom salts, stretch, drink lots of water and REST! I had a session with my trainer this morning and we worked my arms very hard! I told him I probably wouldn't be able to straighten my arms tomorrow. lol! I'll rest my arms 2 days before I'll…
