  • My guess is that it would include the seed. At least, that's the way I've been measuring.
  • I'm a fellow diabetic, too! Just diagnosed last October. My doctor told me it wasn't weight-related because I've been at a healthy BMI for years, but I still need to keep my weight in check and MFP has been a huge help. I wish we could access the community from the app, too, but I don't think it's possible. Feel free to…
  • I only get cravings after my evening workouts (which is 5 nights/week). When I get home from the gym, I'm soooo hungry. I eat a small, healthy meal first and then give myself a treat. If I'm craving sweets, it's usually low fat vanilla ice cream. I just eat 1/2 cup (one serving) very slow and totally enjoy it. Sometimes I…
  • Monthly. I lose weight so slowly, that it's discouraging to see the scale barely move on a daily or weekly basis. I figure if I'm keeping track of my food (and doing the best I can each day), the scale eventually cooperates!
  • Don't be scared! Their job is to help you get in shape. Like others have said, it's important that you like your PT and that there is chemistry. I think I tried 3 before I found one that I really clicked with. I see my personal trainer about 2x/month. I do a LOT of working out without him, so twice a month works for me at…
  • They posted on Facebook that there were problems with their server. It should be working now. Mine is!
  • You should be excited!!! Congratulations!!!!!
  • I'm a sweater and I love it! My eyes sting when the sweat drips off my forehead! I always try to get a half hour in the sauna before my aqua fit class, and that's where I really sweat!
  • How old are you? (you don't have to be specific if you don't want to...you can just say 50's, 60's 40's--whatever, okay) 56 How much have you lost? 7 lbs. I started out with 24 to lose. I lose slower than most because of my age, I'm closer to my goal, and I'm lifting weights a couple times a week, so I'm building muscle as…
  • I could eat the whole batch and only consume 180 calories! Sounds great!!
  • Definitely making these! How many tots per serving??
  • I can eat anything in moderation 75% of the time. The other 25% of the time, not so much. lol! I don't get my period any more  , but I think I'm still on a hormonal cycle where I crave certain foods and I'm not satisfied until I eat them! The good thing is that the cravings are short lived.
  • I'm 5'5" with a small frame, current weight is 137. My lowest adult weight (not toned) was 107. I think I felt best around 115-120, but looking to get toned more than anything.
  • Thanks for your responses, everybody. I had no idea I could enter strength training under cardio! I'll check that out. I have been entering my reps/sets in the strength section. I had read here that a HRM is useless for weight training, so I didn't want to rely on that for calories burned, but I definitely want to fuel my…
  • Here's a picture of my leg this morning. No cellulite!
  • My whole body shakes during planks! My trainer has me do them for a minute at a time (3 sets), and by the time I get to the 3rd set I'm ready to die. lol! My lower back usually feels it before anything else, so he has me slightly lift my hips. It's made a huge difference in progressing. But keep at it - they won't seem any…
  • Yep, me too. I drink a TON of water and probably pee hourly throughout the work day (I'm sure my coworkers wonder what's in my water - lol!), and it tapers off at night when I slow down. But, my skin is loving it!
  • I've been sprinkling Advocare Peaches & Cream Fiber Drink over my oatmeal. Love it! It keeps me regular without any side effects. I only use about 1/3-1/2 of a packet because it's very flavorful and I figure I'm getting a good amount of fiber by eating it with oatmeal.
  • Don't give up hope! I had cellulite on the back of my thighs just a year ago, and after lots of gym time and a little weight loss, it's practically gone. I'm at work now, so I can't take pics, but I'll try to post some tonight. And I'm twice your age, so you definitely have youth on your side! If you didn't have…
  • I'm 56 and fabulous! Add me! I'm losing weight at a turtle's pace - probably like many of you ladies! I've only lost 7 lbs since the beginning of the year, but I don't have a whole lot to lose, so I expected it to be slow.
  • I mostly drink water, sometimes flavored when I'm bored. But I also drink coffee, tea, a little milk, and sugar-free Powerade when I work out.
  • I'm gonna say 350. I make a similar looking flatbread pizza (all veggies and pizza sauce) using Flatouts and it's about 250, but I use very little cheese. Looks good!
  • No magic formula. I picked a number at the low end of my BMI since I'm small-boned and it takes me forever to gain muscle mass. And my doctor wants me to lose as much weight as I can, within reason, to avoid diabetes complications.
  • I just boiled a dozen eggs tonight for Mother's Day potato salad! I started with cold water, added the eggs, brought to a rolling boil, took off the heat, covered the pan and let them sit for 45 minutes. Then I put them in cold water. Since they were fresh eggs (just bought them tonight), I had trouble shelling them, so I…
  • I'm 56 and my BMI is 23. I'm pretty small boned, too, so I'm aiming for closer to 20. I think you'll know when you get there. :)
  • .25 lbs/week, if I'm lucky! My goal is to lose a total of 20-ish pounds. My doctor is okay with my weight, but as a newly diagnosed diabetic, she feels I can avoid complications if I can get down to as low a weight as possible within reason. So that's what I'm trying to do! I might be good with another 10 lbs, but I figure…
  • 5'5" Current weight is 138. Goal is 120-125. I'm losing at the rate of 1 lb/month, so I should get there in a year. :)
  • I LOVE TJ's! Mango/apricot Greek yogurt (the best!) Triple Ginger cookies (sooooo addictive!) Brown rice sushi All of the frozen dinners are delicious
  • I use Truvia in my coffee and love it. I don't notice an after taste at all. Much better than any other artificial sweetener.
