I can kinda relate a little  . A very good male friend is in extremely great shape and also happens to be very cute. When him and I go out together we get stared at like you wouldn't believe. You can just read on people's faces that we don't belong together. When we were out shopping one day, a cashier even asked if…

Ugh....we really struggle with this in my house. HE does all the cooking - for which I am TOTALLY thankful, don't get me wrong - but I can't even get in my own kitchen. He's a chef by trade, so whenever I hand him a recipe, he refuses to follow it or he adds all sorts of other stuff to it. Granted, for the most part, it's…

Hi! Also living with some physical obstacles. I have neurological problems which have really made life challenging over the last few years. At some points been bedridden. Currently I use a walker or a wheelchair and some days I don't need any aids at all. Exercise is very rare for me, although I need to try to make it more…

It's really simple to just give up if you overwhelm yourself by taking on everything at once! Take baby steps....maybe start by swapping water for soda or making sure you have a fruit or veggie with every meal. You can never mess up by eating the wrong thing....learn from it and make a better choice next time! Good luck…

I agree with all of the above: distance, distance, distance! Also, if your first long run is 5-6 miles and you don't feel like you'll be able to complete it running, there is no shame in walking portions of it! It's more important that you complete the distance period than how you complete it! Have fun and good luck…

Completely normal. I gained at first when I started upping my calories, but over the last 3 weeks I've lost 5 lbs. Good luck :flowerforyou:

LNS: 3 Me: 6!! Woohoo!! I joined in this challenge 3 days ago and have done super well the last 3 days  I must admit,I am an LNSer and always will be - as long as it fits in my calorie allotment for the day. I'm in this challenge because I tend to binge eat at night....and I want to beat those binges!

I LOVE this idea!! If I had 50 cents to my name I would do the same

I met my fiance when I was 28 and he was 40. I was sooooooo against dating an older man at the time - several friends had tried to fix me up with guys 10+ years older than me and I refused. However, him and I met through a mutual friend (she is my bff and he was her boss). She invited me to a party he was having at his…

This is very true. You also need to decide prior to the wedding if marrying him is worth putting up a fight anytime the two of you want to do something and want to include his family. I know it seems like "Our love is all that matters...." but take it from someone who also was engaged very young like you, it's a mistake…

I've heard people do coloring books.....I'm not patient enough  I will do puzzles (sudoku) and I paint (yes, I know what you're thinking...she's patient enough to paint but not to color?? It works for me, alright  ) or I sew Good luck!!

Mine is a family ring....my family :-) It was my great-great aunt's engagement ring - it's a Victorian ring, so basically one of a kind and I love it. What we're going to do about wedding rings....I have no idea! My ring is hexagonal shape so I can't fit a straight band under it, so I may end up wearing my engagement ring…

I don't like having the government regulating what we can/cannot do. That being said, since the only regulations are involving the school lunches THEY are serving, as opposed to what the kids bring in from home, I don't think it's a bad idea. As a school they should be responsible for teaching kids how to eat properly -…

I've never done the "no wheat diet" but I did do Atkins quite a few years ago. I lost 60lbs which was fabulous and I felt great too but even that great feeling couldn't keep me away from the carbs!!!! I gained 30lbs in about a year after I stopped following the diet and I imagine it would be roughly the same with the "no…

I use 1 TBLS as oppose to 2 in anything I put it on!! -toast, english muffin, duh! -pb&j, of course! -in my oatmeal with a mashed banana, yum!! -on a rice cake -mixed with dry oatmeal and cocoa powder for dessert :-) <---- this one is my personal fav!!!!

I think we all have to do the best with what we have! I try to eat as clean as *I* can because it's the only way for me to lose weight. Clean for me though still does include processed things - I could never live without anything processed! For the majority of days it's minimally processed because I hate to cook and love…

LOL!!! Now that I'm so heavy I have major trouble shaving....which I never had before! Constantly missing spots....or sadly can't see spots and miss!! Oh and I CONSTANTLY cut myself!!! Oh the woes we all have

I log cleaning because I'm handicapped and unable to do a whole lot. What I do is not part of my normal routine and usually requires a buttload of energy! lol I think everyone needs to do what is best for them.

Thank you for posting!!! I'm not vegetarian but try to only eat meat 1-2x per week so things get a little boring around here! Those dishes do NOT look boring at all. Thanks for the savory oatmeal recipe and the polenta looks divine and the portobello fries and the.....well everything! :drinker:

I'm a life long asthma and allergy sufferer too and see all those racing bibs <--- got them from 5ks, 10milers and a half marathon! Other than the half marathon (which happened to be at the beginning of October AND the worst time for my allergies - I ran 13.2miles with bronchitis!) I managed 9-9:30min/mile pace. I started…
