I started at 310 (5'4 female) and got down to 193. I don't have loose skin, I AM loose skin. I think it is the result of being at least 60 pounds overweight for over 20 years. I tend to wear elbow length or longer sleeves and pants, so it isn't too obvious, but I also wear oversized shapewear to keep the loose skin on my…

Congratulations on your success! Your hard work really paid off. I also want to really commend you for being happy with who you were before. I struggled with that 100+ pounds ago and I I still do. Good for you!

I almost never call anyone out on anything. I don't like confrontation, but I also wish that someone had called me out on my BS years ago. I would have been mad, but I would also have thought about it. What about saying something about how when you're emotional or stressed out, exercise actually makes you feel better? If…

I recently transferred to a new office with my company in a new state and my supervisor has made comments that suggest that I got to where I am by being attractive. First of all, I still have a lot of weight to lose, and second of all. I was not always attractive at all and I busted my butt to get to where I am. I never…

I had a weird moment a few weeks ago when I went to lunch with some coworkers and we all rode in one car. When I was heavier, someone would suggest that I sit in front (because I needed the room, of course) and then three smaller people would squeeze together in the back. Not this time. Apparently I am not "automatic…

I was bullied in Middle School for being fat. I have looked up the people who did it (on Facebook) and I feel like living well has been my revenge. It also helps that I have improved my appearance and they have really not aged well.

Wow, that's amazing! Good job on that transformation.

Wow, what a difference!

I have been using makeup or new clothes. For the smaller treats, something like a new eyeliner or a new pair of underwear is a nice thing. For something bigger, I am saving for some boots.

If I am really hungry, I eat. I try to eat something that is filling, like yogurt with fruit or a salad. Something that takes a while to eat. If I am still hungry after that, I have a giant cup of Vanilla chai tea. If that doesn't take care of it, I eat more, and if necessary, exercise more to earn some more calories.…

Perfect description of how to do squats!

Good for you for committing to a lifestyle change. I wish I had done that at your age. Enjoy your youth!

I'm 5'4 and my goal weight is 165. This is very flexible, since I really don't know what I want to weigh. I started at 307, and I am now at 208 and I have a hard time imagining being less than 165, but I will see how I feel when I get there.

I have a couple of really easy ideas for times when it is just me. They will not win any awards, k? I use a rice cooker and add 1/2 of a small to medium zucchini, diced 1/4 c. of white rice, raw 2 Johnsonville smoked cheddar turkey sausages, sliced about 1 cup of water pepper and then push the "cook" button and walk away.…

My biggest problem was portion control, but here are my former favorite high calorie foods. I didn't cut them out completely (for the most part) but I definitely cut back. 1) Super burritos - Mission style, delicious, and probaby 1,000 to 1,400 calories. 2) Giant peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Now I measure/weigh and…

I always expect a transformation of the body with so much weight lost, but facial changes like yours are unexpected and wonderful! Good for you, man.

A friend of mine had bariatric surgery and her doctor's office hosts clothing exchanges. I've gone with her, since they don't really monitor whether or not you're a patient. You might want to check with places like that in your area, as well as the previous posters' suggestions. I have the best luck at Goodwill and TJMaxx…

I had the same experience! I was very disappointed but I am afraid to try again. The directions manual says you can swim with it, but not to push the buttons while it is wet. I hope someone posts a solution.

What you said, exactly :)

That's what I use too.

I'm a medium build Current weight 210 (down about 10 since this photo) Pants size 16, sometimes 14 now. Depends on the cut, because I have thick thighs. Goal weight - currently 165. I set it about 35 lbs ago. Not sure how I arrived at that number. I'm 35. No kids that I know of.

I love this! My NSV- Nothing to wear because my clothes are too big. Lots of compliments on my progress when I go to my office.

Freaking awesome! Looking good.

I'm going with 125-130.

Not sure - busty pear?

I don't see a problem with it. One of the best people on my friends list is a male. He's also the only male, but I don't have a lot of friends on here. If you don't want to accept them, it isn't a big deal. Just don't accept them.

Would you believe I never thought of this? I admire some celebrity bodies (Beyonce, Kim K, etc) but I never thought about trying to look like them. I started so far away from a goal like that, it wouldn't have occurred to me. Now that I have read all 8 pages of this thread, I will say Christina Hendricks. I think we have…

What an interesting question. For guys: button down shirts or fitted tee-shirts (not boxy or with logos). I'm not a fan of muscle shirts and polo shirts make me think of work, so use sparingly. Basically, clean, tidy, and in good condition. For pants, I'm not a fan of skinny jeans, but jeans or flat-front khakis are nice.…

Things I learned from Crossfit: 1) 3 sets of 25 kettlebell swings (you can use a barbell too) 2) 3 sets of 20 air squats (or add weight and make it a goblet squat) 3) In between sets, run 200-400 meters (about 1/8 - 1/4 of a mile)
