I love this too! Fresh flowers are such a lovely sight when I walk into my house.

That's wonderful progress, and so fast! Good job!

What a great compliment! And from an Anderson Cooper lookalike? HOT! I'm originally from the SF Bay area, even though I don't live there now. Enjoy it - there are so many opportunities to be active outside if that's your thing.

I want to think you're making that up, but you have such an honest face.

About four years ago, I played blackjack weekly as a way to make extra money. I don't even think I'm that good, I just followed basic strategy. It helped in a pinch and since then, I maybe play once a year.

Unfortunately, I did know that! I remember reading it after a movie came out about Kellogg ( I think it was Kellogg). I don't think it works. They are pretty tasty.

I'm mid 30s and in Las Vegas. I joined MFP fairly recently and would like to have more friends on here!

You look amazing! Also, we have the same comforter and dust ruffle.
-
Congratulations on your progress so far! I am glad you found something that is working for you and seems sustainable.

Very nice work! When I saw that you don't like vegetables, I almost took it as a personal challenge to recommend some that you will like.

Usually 3-4 times a day. I know.....

Today was a cardio only day. I broke it up into three segments, because I lose interest quickly. I did 20 minutes on the elliptical trainer interval program, 20 minutes walking on the treadmill at about 3.5 - 4mph, and 25 minutes on the elliptical.

Thanks for posting this. I think terrible thoughts about my thighs whenever I am shopping for pants, but I appreciate that I have a healthier shape than the alternative.

You look great! Younger too!

I don't tell people, but they can figure it out, I'm sure. I have always tried to eat fairly healthfully, with the occasional junk food treat. My issue was portion control, I think. I did tell my mom, because she tries to be a good hostess when I visit and in my family that means Paula Deen style, Y'all! We're not even…

I am still in progress, but I went from a 44/46 D to a 40 DD/DDD after losing about 80 lbs.
-
I look forward to being able to say this! Back fat really is the worst! Good for you!
-
Wow, great work! How tall are you? You look like you weigh less than 290 to me.
-
For me, it was a combination of things. I have already lost about 80 lbs through the usual suspects but I still was not living a very healthy lifestyle, at least not on a consistent basis. For the past two years, I have been trying to lose weight by eating fewer calories (around 1800) and exercising (but not enough, and…

I've lost about 80 pounds (well, I lost a 100 and gained back some, and then lost some....) and I have a problem with loose skin on my upper arms. It looks like I have enough skin to make two extra arms. It's a shame, but when I get to my goal weight, I will be getting a brachioplasty to take it all off.

I took a 55 minute spin class yesterday and I burned 500 calories according to my HRM. I'd rather take the calories that MFP calculates for spinning for that duration, closer to 600-700!

bump - definitely need to make these

bump & thanks!

My cat loves cantaloupe. I discovered this when I first got him and was cutting one. He came in and started demanding it like he does when I open a can of tuna. He also loves cottage cheese. It's kind of funny, because he's awfully fat for someone who likes those things. He was fat when I got him, and I can't seem to get…

I can relate to this. My advice is to try a lifting class like Body Pump or another group lifting class. The instructor will demonstrate the moves and this helps a lot, if a personal trainer is not an option. I am so much more successful with my weight loss when I lift. You can do it!
-
Good for you! That is a long break. I wonder if I will need that/have the guts to have it.
-
Thanks, this looks great!
-
How long has it been since you saw a loss on the scale? Maybe it is time to look at what you're doing and see if you need to make some adjustments? Congratulations on your progress so far! You've come this far, so I believe you can go all the way. It's like the saying "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time" You…

I always say I am going to, but I usually cheap out. I get pedicures and similar things regularly, and I just think of them as grooming. I did recently buy myself some new jeans as a treat. I went down a size. I am trying not to think of it as an issue of vanity sizing.

This is tough and I struggled with it for years, until recently. I went from loving my hour+ treadmill/eliptical time to avoiding it like the plague. For me, a few things work. 1) having someone who is counting on me to be there, 2) trying something new (maybe a class, if you like them), 3) Thinking of the time spent…
