While I think its important to use discernment and think beyond your own wishes when making important decisions like that.... a bigger question is do you want someone else to have the right to make that decision for you? What about the government... are you feeling ok with the government dictating whether or not you have…

I got married 3 years ago and had their dresses made. I got the material on sale, and bought patterns. It worked out cheaper then buying off the rack and the seamstress could easily accomodate for different sizes and shapes. Plus it saved on shopping time.

People have a right to live their life the way they choose, even if its a dangerous choice - its still their right. We don't have to agree with it, or support it. So for me, I leave it alone. Its not my place to do anything about it unless I'm actually asked for advice, then I'll share my views. Also, I keep my "friends"…

I liked "supersize VS superskinny " I also love "eat yourself Skinny" with Jillian (can't remember the last name but another poster commented on another show of hers) I also like "last 10 pounds". Tommy is an awesome personal trainer. :) Oh and I used to watch "Ruby", it was a reality show following the weightloss of Ruby…

For those that haven't heard of him...Terry Fox did all that with only 1 leg. The other had been amputated due to a very agressive cancer, which he later died from. He's an amazing inspiration. I won't be able to run this weekend - cuz I can't run. But I might do the walk, or at the bare minimum make a donation.

I feel that if she isn't willing to try, there isn't a lot you can do about it. She's an adult, and has the right to make her own choices - even if they are bad ones. I think keep doing what you are doing, and when you visit with her at your place, have only healthy options available. If its at her house for a meal, ask in…

I agree with this. You don't need to offer an explanation. just be polite, then go back to work. If they ask why, you always say you're not in the mood for (insert food item here) right now, maybe later. then smile and walk away

Actually I just bought some almond milk to try for the first time. :)

YUMM!

thanks! these are some great ideas. I don't know why it never occured to me to eat it the same as I would any other squash. And the thai soup sounds amazing.

I would say you need to do some research before you can decide. For example, when you say this job will open doors for you...what doors? Are those doors still open if you don't have an education to back up the job? or is some additional schooling still needed? where's the ceiling on what you can make in this job? How far…

I tried to quit cold turkey but the headache that came was unbelieveable. So I weaned myself off. I first went to 1 can a day, for a week or so, then 1 small can a day for a week or so, then 1 small can every other day. then nothing. It worked much better as there weren't any side effects at all. its been about 3 years…

I'm surprised there are so many seperatists. In my family I'm one of two - everyone else are mixers.
-
hee hee - great answer! :)
-
That's a brilliant idea!!!
-
hahaha....me too.
-
And if you're brave enough.....what's the weirdest thing you've done with food as a mixer or seperatist?? (eg when my neice eats a hotdog, she puts mustard on one side of the bun and ketchup on the other...so they don't really touch)

The first thing you need to do is to weigh/measure and log your food. Every single thing you put in your mouth. I looked at your diary and noticed that you haven't logged anything all last week, and that's a key problem. its impossible for you (or us) to see where you are going wrong, and what you need to change if you…

Sorry, but this comment is rediculous. There are a lot of countries where the water is not safe to drink without boiling it, India being one of them. They drink tea to avoid dysentry and parasites not because its a better choice then clean safe water. Not everyone is blessed with safe drinking water like most of North…

maybe try mixing with the flavours of each? For example, with chicken you could use some red curry and turmeric for a spicy flare. Or roast it with rosemary and a hint of parmesean. That way its still chicken, but two completely different flavours. Another idea is how you serve it, you could dice it into a salad, or a…

So from what you are saying, you can't rely on this person. So don't. Don't ask him/her to help you - ask someone who genuinely cares about you and is responsible. (save yourself the stress and the disappointment) At the same time, quit dropping everything for this person. Your life is important too, and so are your…

Depends on how you define "nice". I think of it as being kind, courteous, polite, and respectful. But I DON'T equate it with being a doormat and allowing others to walk all over you. If someone in your life is dishing *kitten* at you, you need to create boundaries and stand up for yourself. Be your own support system the…

hahaha! The beep - beep song. I haven't thought of that one in years and years. I think if I tried to run to that, I'd be dead by the end of the song. hahahaha!!! Great posts everyone!

Interesting...about 450 people viewed this...but only a few answered. I guess the others are too ashamed to say their embarrassing song out loud. hee hee
-
hee hee hee! thanks everyone! Lots of fabulous songs here. :)
-
oh good point. :) I guess I'm most embarrassed to have "I like to move it move it" ...but the madagascar version. Oh and I think I have Lionel Ritchie's "dancing on the ceiling" I will fully admit that if there is anyone near me when those place - I skip to the next song just to avoid any unnecessary judgement. hee hee

I don't really crave chocolate -but it sounds delicious.

Call your doctor's office or a pharmacist and get their professional opinion on if its safe or not. You could also call the energy drink company directly and speak to their doctor on staff. Its better to find out from a professional rather than risk your health or your life.

That was the impression I got too. Initially I was excited about a show that has large and average sized women in and showing them as confident and beautiful. Afterall most shows only have the underweight present, so that's a nice change. But it seems the show is mostly about their size and not much about their other…
