I used to go and I liked it. I stopped because its expensive, and a the time, they were changing up the program every year and I got tired of having to learn a new system. I don't know how the new point system works, but the old methods were very good at teaching people how to eat healthy balanced diet and excellent at…

I just had a look at your diary and there are a lot of days where you are extremely far under the 1200 minimum. Plus its hard to tell as you have quick calories listed instead of the items, but it could be you also aren't getting enough vitamins and minerals from your food choices. I would recommend that you try keeping…

I had a look at your diary, and assuming its accurate, then you are definitely experiencing deficiencies in many areas. You regularly are way way way under the calorie minimum which is 1200 to be healthy. So that makes sense to me that your hair is falling out. (I've known many people who had this happen to them when they…

That's fantastic!! Thanks for sharing. :flowerforyou:

I meditate every day, I also have reiki and other energy work done when I'm especially wound up. (I'm a reiki master myself) Plus I enjoy quiet activities like sketching, listening to music, or I call up a friend I haven't talked to in a while and just chat on the phone. Walks in the park are nice too. I hope that helps. :)

nice one! I like that poem!

I started this program in the middle of August and I can honestly say I'm never hungry. Plus I think in all this time I've only gone over on 2 days. The trick for me is LOTS of veggies and fruit, and to make sure I get my water in. Veggies are quite filling and have very little calories. For example, i think 2 cups of…

I either find a charity that will take it or donate it to local food bank. I don't let it stay in my house more then a couple of days after halloween, so I'm not tempted.

Swimming is an awesome full body workout with little to no pressure on your ankle. Actually almost any kind of water activity is probably the safest thing for you at this stage since you need to give your foot time to heal. I hope you feel better soon!

The first two I had were much better. I've never had much in the way of symptoms, but it had improved even still. This last pms has been a lot hards - I've been tired, sore boobs, a bit headachy. So that was unexpected. I'm due anyday so we'll see soon enough how this is going to play out.

I agree with some points but not all. One thing I think people should keep in mind....this author does NOT have any medical, nutritional or health related training. So don't take her thoughts are just that - thoughts not facts.

I suggest talking to your doctor. He/she can make very good recommendations based on your health, needs and goals. But he/she can also recommend reputable people in your area. that's what I did, and its working fabulously for me so far.

For me, I've found that I don't get any cramps so long as I avoid sodium the week before. Now obviously you can't completely take it out since its in practically everything, but I make sure I stay under my limit the week before, and that solves the problem for me.

For me I just take it one day at a time so I don't feel overwhelmed. that's what works for me. Plus I agree with another poster. I know that once I stop, it will be much harder to get going again. I've only been doing this for 2.5 months now, and I feel like I could slip back to my old ways if I'm not diligent. so I don't…

That is the basics of the plan my doctor recommended. I do do the plate dividing thing at every meal, and stick to fruit for most of my snacks. So far its working fabulously for me. I've taken off almost 30 pounds in 2.5 months. But the best part is I never feel hungry, and its not complicatd. I just need to spend a bit…

thanks everyone! I feel better getting some opinions. :)

thanks everyone for your input, I guess time will tell... But I sure hope this isn't my future for every month. D'oh!

I completely agree- its best to talk to your doctor at this stage.

My rules: 1: Eat breakfast lunch and dinner every day. Snacks if still hungry. 2: Eat 50% veggies at every meal. 3: Drink between 11-14 glasses of water a day. And most importantly: Don't beat myself up if I screw up. Everyone makes mistakes and has bad days. I tell myself that this is a marathon not a sprint, so one bad…

hahaa. Yeah, I think that's a possibility. but its too soon to know....

That's great that you are working to improve your health. Best wishes for you!!

If you are lactose intolerant a milk bath will be very very bad for your skin and could cause it to flare up. Try an oatmeal bath, its much more soothing...

Its hard to know without seeing a picture of it, or seeing your diary. If you opened up your diary it would help a lot. But my first thought is that it very well could be diet related. Not enough water and fatty acids will do bad things to your skin. On the other hand there are alot of non-diet related things that can…

Sorry, I didn't pick up on the sarcasm. lots of people here think they are experts, so I didn't read deeper into it then that. IF I'm asked, I share what I'm doing and what works for me. But if someone tells me they are struggling and want to be healthier I encourage them to talk to their doctor, naturopath, or dietician…

I try hard to refrain from giving advice on here unless I was specifically asked. The only time I've varied from that is when I saw one person encouraging another that a one coffee and one diet pop was enough in a day. Sorry, but I couldn't hold my tongue on that. But here's the thing...Are we really experts??? I mean,…

For me its lots of veggies. That seems to be what works best for me to reach calorie goals without going over on carbs, sugars, sodium etc.

Phentermine has been banned in many countries and even parts of the USA. The possible side effects are extremely dangerous. If your doctor is recommending this, I'd question his/her knowledge of the substance. Lots of people die trying to lose weight through dangerous methods. Please be careful people, your friends and…

I've heard that before too, but I honestly don't know if there is any merit to it or not.
