I'd say you're crushing on him because you are afraid to be alone. And girl, let me tell you, being alone is not so bad. Its certainly not as bad as staying with someone you don't love. I'd say the first place to start is to become your own very very best friend. Enjoy your own company, so it doesn't matter who else is…

This! I looked at your calories and you are not eating near enough calories. Plus what you do eat, is a lot of processed food which has far less nutritional value. i recommend making sure you get the bear minimum of 1200 calories plus your exercise calories. Add lots of veggies, fruit, lean protein and whole grains. I'm…

I've gone to hatha yoga for over 10 years, and beginners yoga is the best place to start. Its best if you can talk to the instructor before class and explain your health situation, so she/he will know to keep and eye out. A good instructor will be watching the class to see who is struggling and who is not getting enough…

nope, no creaking or sharp pain. just soreness on the outer shin. when I flex down its fine, but when I flex upward it hurts more. any thoughts?

I grew up in Tecumseh, but I don't live there now. Still if you are looking for friends, feel free to add me. :)

thank you for sharing. That video made my day! :flowerforyou:

I used to work at a daycare in the 90s when the Backstreet boys were extremely popular. One day I walked into another classroom and there were a group of 5 year old girls dancing and singing... "You're the one for me, you're my extra C".... One of the teachers started to correct them. I told her leave it, no point in…

I respect everyone has a right to do eat/drink what they want for themselves. I don't force my opinion on others, they can do what they want. I don't care. But for me, I gave up sodas years ago as I personally think they are unnecessary as they do not provide any positive nutritional value. Now I will only have the…

I did that last week - it turned out fabulously. I just added a couple of onions chopped up, and then sprinkled on a bit of garlic powder and sage.

The problem is not the outside, its the way you think about yourself. So you have to train your mind to focus on the positives. If you looked in the mirror every single day and looked for what's looking good instead of what you don't like, over time it will help changes your internal dialogue to be positive instead of…

I totally agree with this. Feeling sexy comes from the inside not the outside. I used to be 115 lbs, and felt awkward and every inch the ugly duckling. As I've gotten older, I have evolved into the kind of woman I wanted to be. I'm happy with who I am , and I know I'm awesome. (this is not conceitedness, its just…

I log every single thing I put in my mouth. Otherwise I think its too easy to forget what I've eaten and that leads to miscalculations that snowball. I'd say a food scale is more important, because you will get more accuracy with learning portions. Most people overestimate what a portion really is - especially since most…

I am sorry that some people have been negative on the threads. I find that happens alot, plus there is lots of bad advice. Generally I keep away from the forums for that general reason. But the diary is a wonderful tool. And once you find some friends who have similar weightloss goals, its a nice boost to get some positive…

5 pounds so far...

the reason this comes up first has to do with how google operates, and has absolutely NOTHING to do with the validity of the information. My understanding from my doctor was to net 1200 calories a day. I think talking to your doctor is the best thing to do as he/she will know your health history, your goals and what will…

how about swimming? Or even lie on your back and do bicycle pumps in the air with your legs? I hope you feel better soon.

I had a look at your diary and it appears that you aren't eating enough, which would explain why you are feeling hungry. You should be eating at least your 1200 calories a day, and you were well under that every day that I looked at. Also, it takes a while to get used to a change in your eating habits. Your body will crave…

I'm usually up to at least midnight too, and get the evening munchies. My doctor insists that eating breakfast actually curbs evening snacking, but i haven't found it working that great for me yet. So I just plan for it. I eat a little less during the day so that I can have some snacks in the evenings. i also try my best…

there must be someone who wants to share....if not about yourself then maybe about a friend??

This is my opinion... When you lie or justify what you are doing; you are making their comments and opinions about you more important than your own; which never should be. What I do (and what I recommend you think about doing) is tell them its none of their business. That's all. If they push, remind them that you are an…

bump! I was thinking about this topic today! I'm doing some christmas baking on the weekend, and would love some more healthy options

Me too. We just celebrated our 3rd anniversary. We've been together almost 5 years in total. thank you match.com. :)

Honestly, no I don't think that will make a difference in breaking your plateau. I had a look at your diary, and I think you'd likely do better at breaking it if you ate your minimum if 1200 calories every day, plus exercise calories. Judging by your diary, there are a lot of days you are quite under, so that could…

sometimes when he works late......I eat a bowl of cereal for dinner, in my pjs, while watching "say yes to the dress"....

thanks everyone. I'll see if I can borrow my mom's oven tomorrow before I go to work and do up the veggies at least, and my hubby can pick it up after he's done work. Plus as much as possible is going to go in the freezer. it sucks but what can you do. these things happen right? oh well, onwards and upwards.

YEAY!! you done good. :)

I had a "friend" who really pushed the juiceplus crap as well. I don't believe in it - its over processed to start with, and is NOT the equivilant to eating actual fruits and veggies. My "friend" even tried to push CDs on me to explain how its a cure-all and would change my life. sorry to say....we're not "friends"…
