Knowing I needed to get back on track with a healthy lifestyle was one of the reasons. Mostly I wanted to see if I could do it. I have found it surprisingly easy to say no to cheese when there is a purpose other than i'm "dieting." Diets don't work. I felt toxic and mostly wanted to rid my body of all of the processed junk…

Although protein is essential for our bodies, it too seems to be one of those things that we eat in excess. The american diet is full of protein. Protein, like lipids, that are consumed in excess will eventually be stored if not used, or burned up. So over consumption of protein can cause weight gain. The left over protein…

Luckly while nursing my second child the extra pounds just kind of fell off! I would eat healthy but I didnt need to really watch too much. I would eat alot of sweets and it wouldn't really matter. I knew when I stopped nursing I would have to cut my cals by at least 400 in order to maintain my weight...but I didn't really…

Im down! And definetly a beginner! How about we pick a start date and start with either push ups or crunches. For example I'll start with crunches. I will do as many crunches (with correct form) as possible. Say I did 20 and then record it. On the second day I'll try push ups and record how many. The third day is time for…

If I used work out vids I definitly log them! There hard work sometimes and you deserve to log them. I didnt see a particular listed exercise but Im sure aerobics is pretty close. Use your best judgment if you cant find it online.

Does anyone know how many calories you burn using Wii Fit? Its alot of fun and some of the exercices get your heart pumping. Hula, boxing and running may burn the most. The rest of the activities are more for balance or yoga. There is a strength training section where you do leg lifts, lunges, pushups, etc... Anyone know?

Is it bad to eat too much protein? Not a whole lot... but does it just turn to fat in excess like sugar and carbs do. I have a low fat and low sugar diet as it is, but sometimes my protein is double my alotted amout.
-
If Im craving something sweet I grab a Low-Fat Eggo Waffle, give it a spray of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!, and top with a dab of light whipping cream (1tbs). Ah works for my sweet tooth everytime and whats even sweeter is its only 78 cals, 3g fat, and 3g sugar!

yea it is a hot topic around here... I try not to eat my exercise cals but as long as I dont go over inculding the exercise points earned Im usually happy.
