I log it as exercise ('breastfeeding'). Daily calorie estimates for exclusive breastfeeding range from 200-500. My baby is 8 mths and still feeds several times a day but is getting quite a bit of food in these days so I stay on the conservative side (150 minutes = 222 Cals). There's no way I spend that long feeding her a…

great advice all round - thanks guys!::smile:

Absolutely! Happened to me all yesterday after a big night out. I was eating my normal lunch at 9.45am!! I ended up absent-mindedly eating an entire bag of fresh spinach because I wanted the comfort of chewing something. Major chocolate cravings too (which luckily I managed to distract myself from!)). Coffee tends to work…

What a lovely dress - the blue really suits you! Well done on your progress!

great idea! I do wonder how I will go keeping the weight off if I stopped logging. Good luck!!

I'm a strong believe of regular (but not frequent) cheating. I have planned, scheduled cheats about once a week on average. They are always social occasions where I want to be able to enjoy delicious food and drink without worrying about counting calories. There is a lot of information out there of the effectiveness, both…

Wow! You are so pretty! And you look so happy in the new photo. That red/pink is really your colour!! Keep up the good work!

two words: TOTALLY HOT! (and I'm engaged so I hope my fiance doesn't read this!!) :)

you're fine in my opinion. You're eating plenty of protein and you're working out. You can't ask for much more than that. Of course, there are always improvements you can make to your diet to for optimal health/energy which will make it easier to have great workouts. The best piece of advice I've gotten is about getting…

I agree - the difference in your face is very noticeable!

wow - that moustache is rockin'!! You look great!

well done! You look beautiful and very happy in your current photo! I totally hear you! I don't get a double chin, but my face just got so much wider and puffier as I put on weight..and profile shots? Forget it! Well done to you :)

I am in the same boat at the moment! I was booked in to start at a new gym yesterday and woke up with a horrible cold and nasty fever. Very hard not to be disappointed. Also, I've noticed that all I want to eat is plain toast (can't smell anything so not interested in anything fancy). Going to just stick to my calorie…

Good luck!

I have a dress. It's beautiful. It suits my complexion, my figure-type and my personality perfectly. It's been sitting unworn in my cupboard for two years. Soon, dress, soon. Mama's comin'.

Ooh - I love this. ok my somewhat lofty (but it's going well so I'm sticking with the positive) goals to hit by Sept 30 are: #1 - be 60kg (5.1 kgs) away #2 - go for an hour long walk EVERY morning #3 - stick rigidly to my diet plan/recipe book for every meal except when I have a planned social event (1-2per week) # - LOG…

Looking good, but I do prefer the expression in the first photo. You have a lovely smile! :)

shin splints, sore knees, ankles etc - that kind of pain is not the good kind you're meant to get from exercise. I got really sore knees on Level 2 but the pain ceased when I started doing Level 3 and only doing it 3 times a week. On my rest days I'm walking (up and down hills at a brisk pace) for an hour. I'm all for…

Tempeh (pressed and fermented soy beans)! Yummy - very high in protein and low in carbs. Like tofu but tastier and is a whole food (less processed); eggs; protein bars (though be careful because many of these are quite high in calories); chia seeds; whey protein (supplements); vegetable protein (found in many meat…

Great - thanks everyone for all your suggestions! I will have to look for Mrs Dash (not sure they stock it in Australia). Great ideas!! It might be my imagination, but I feel like a look a bit puffier when I have too much salt...is there any truth in that?

Whey protein is a common source of natural protein, made as a bi-product when milk is made into cheese. It's pretty much pure protein, so supplements containing whey protein will be pretty high in calories but should have little to no fat or carbohydrate content. It's commonly used by athletes and body-builders who want to…

I love Stevia! I carry a little bottle around in my handbag for when I'm having coffee out. You get used to the aftertaste - I drink a lot of coffee and tea so I don't want to have to worry about the calories! Stevia has none! Plus it's one of the few sweeteners that seems to be all natural (it might have an after-taste…

I love Stevia (all natural no-sugar no-cal sweetener). I add it to my breakfast and have it in natural yoghurt as a snack. Also, if I'm craving something a bit sweet post-meal, I'll have hot cocoa (made just with a teaspoon of cocoa, hot water, skim or soy milk and stevia) and it tends to keep the sweet cravings away!

Have you tried cooking with tempeh? It's much yummier than tofu and it's a whole food (not as processed as tofu). I use it in stirfrys and curries as a meat replacement - high in protein, low in fat and carbs.

A guy at work is also dieting, though in a more extreme way than me - he did the whole 7 days with nothing passing his lips except meat...I worry for his liver but it seemed to help kickstart his loss! Anyway, it's been good to have someone else in my staff room resisting all the temptations at morning tea and lunchtime -…

great milestone to celebrate!!

wow - I love that dress!! You look really sexy! Good job!

Thanks everyone for the support - wow, didn't realise I would get a response so quickly! I'm going to attempt to add you to my friends list. Hopefully it works!

I'm no expert, but from reading I'd say you DEFINITELY need to be eating some kind of breakfast to keep your metabolism up!
