Be happy to help. I'm closing in on 400 days of MFP, reached my goal losing 29 kg (63 lbs, 4 st 7 lbs) after 243 days and have been maintaining ever since. I've always been a fan of the elliptical, good workout - zero impact on joints. Friend request sent.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... It's only cheating if don't log it accurately. Have whatever you want that fits into your plan, whenever you want it. Enjoy it, log it, move on with no regrets... it's called life, enjoy it responsibly!

IMHO, you are doing the right thing ditching Atkin's... it might work for the short term but it's not sustainable, as you have discovered. As you already know you should exercise and you are here (on MFP), I think you are doing everything you need to IF you follow the program. One of the things I liked about the MFP plan…

IMHO, the elliptical is something you can start off with right away at 30 mins a day, five days a week (this is what I do... 35 mins incl cool down). I generally use a gluteal workout that is mainly high incline, low resistance. Worked great for me, burning 260-280 cals per workout. Cheers.

Greetings from Saskatchewan (hard to spell, easy to draw - never get tired of that joke). I've been on MFP for over a year now having dropped 63 lbs (28.6 kg) and have been maintqaining since 18 Oct 12. You have done the most important thing in joining MFP. Now just stick with the program, log your food & exercise and it…

Greetings, I've been on MFP for just over a year now. Started at 93 kg (205 lbs) in Feb 12 and, after 243 days reached my goal weight of 64.8 (145 lbs). I switched to maintenance and, initially, lost a little more, gained some back, lost some more and now have seemed to settled down at around 64 kg (142 lbs). I still track…

You could search MFP database or do a web search for the restaurant's website where more and more are listing their nutritional information and then enter that information yourself.

Joining MFP... everything else started from there.

Yup, truth. Counting calories taught me portion control. I make sure by logging EVERYTHING! Start weight was 205 on 18 Feb 2012 and reached goal weight of 145 after 243 days. Currently weighing in at 142 and seemed to have settled here.

Hell, even if it doesn't I still might eat it but I always log it!

While channel surfing, I came across a cooking show and Chef Michael was wrapping a chopped carrot (about 2 in long) with a slice of bacon. Now I'm one of those "everything is better when wrapped in bacon" types but a carrot? Oh well, giving him the benefit of the doubt I continued to watch as he secured the bacon slice…

Best of luck to you, Mary. 10 sodas a day? WOW! Keep logging everything, throw in some exercise and you WILL see results! Cheers!

Not hard! I am 5'8" and started at 205 lbs and reached the goal weight of 145 after 243 days. Now I know everyone's individual and my results may not be the same as yours but if you exercise daily and log EVERYTHING, you will see results.

I support bananas, so I am a banana's friend... but I eat bananas so I am a banana's foe. I usually have a banana everyday... weekdays after PT, along with a Kashi bar and, on weekends, on top of cereal. The red delicious apple I usually have for lunch comes in at around the same calories.

Interesting article, I plugged my numbers in and new BMI calculated at 21.75 from 21.94. Slight change but nice to see some updated thinking on this.
