Yes, I totally don't understand this! Overeating and pigging-out are definitely not the same thing as a binge! What I really don't understand is people who talk about "planned binges." Anyone who really knows what it feels like to have a problem with binge eating knows it isn't something you can "plan." It's the worst…

I love this! You made a great point about the unintentionally funny. I'm going to work to appreciate those moments more!

Where are you in Ireland?

aww, such a sweet story! I want to see you get back into your bowling jeans! You can do it!! Can you imagine the look on your husband's face? Love this.

Hi! When is your trip? I may be too late with this response! I live in Dublin, and yes, it's tricky to eat healthy here…but not impossible. Go for soups. Ireland has fantastic soups and they typically aren't too heavy with cream/butter. You won't find a lot of fish on menus, unless it is fried…which is strange considering…

I'm in Dublin too! Not a mommy (yet!), but I'm trying to get back to my happy weight…which means I have 15-20lbs to lose. Please add me as a friend! We can share local food tips.
-
You can add me! I've been fighting with the same 15 lbs for the past few years, and I've been a member on MFP for over a year. I love the motivation I get from people on here. And the suggestions for exercise and healthy eating are so helpful. Feel free to add me as a friend! Good luck on your journey.

you are making great progress!! keep it up. your hard work is paying off, inside and out!

Your questions are probably rhetorical, but I'm going to answer them anyway because you're right! We've been dating almost three years. I feel bad for admitting it because he's wonderful in so many other ways. I can't expect him to be perfect! I've been missing humor the whole time, but didn't notice it as much when our…

hahaha!! so NOT funny! Haven't done that since college. I wonder how he'd react to that one…

 now this is funny
-
hahaha, love this. Thankfully, my man only got shorted in the humor department.

Aww, this is what I was hoping to hear from someone! There is hope for our survival! I know exactly what you mean…the number of times I've had to say, "I was joking," well, I've lost count. Thankfully, he does laugh at my silly antics sometimes. I wish he'd just offer some of his own. So it sounds like I should seek my…

I'm a binger too. Add me as a friend!

You look amazing! Love the muscles. And you have a lovely family! Keep up the great work.
-
You've always been a beautiful girl, but now you look AMAZING! Great work. You should be so proud of yourself. Keep it up!!

My highest was 150lbs. I'm around 145 right now and my goal is 130 with muscle.

Microwave bananas! It's delicious. I usually mash one up, sprinkle some cinnamon, pop it in the microwave and call it dessert. This morning, I heated a mashed banana, topped it with plain yogurt and a sprinkle of granola…amazing!

It's cold in Dublin right now too. And I haven't seen direct sunlight in over a month…not since I was in Rome. Last time there was direct sunlight in Ireland…um, my memory isn't that good.

agave syrup! did someone already say that? :)

I don't understand how it is possible to plan a binge. Isn't that more like planning to overeat? For me, a binge is uncontrolled eating, eating when I'm full, stuffing anything I can get my hands on into my mouth as quickly as possible…almost like I'm punishing myself with food. And it's always based on my emotions and…

You are my hero.

You should be happy he left! He was clearly sucking up all of your good energy and wasn't doing anything to encourage you to have a healthy lifestyle. And now that he's gone, you can focus on what's really important…YOU! You can do this. Be sad for a little bit and give yourself time to mourn the relationship…then, back to…

Don't give up your coffee if that is something you love. You'll just be miserable. I used to only be able to drink 1/2 hot chocolate and 1/2 coffee…then I moved on to real coffee with sugar and milk. Now, I add only a tiny drop of milk, so insignificant that I don't even bother counting it. I probably burn those calories…

haha, don't knock deep-fried pasta til you've tried it! AMAZING. But…I've had it maybe twice in my life. It's not something I'd eat every day.
-
I agree. All in moderation….even the good stuff. It IS possible to eat too much of the healthy stuff as well. We just tend to be a nation of overindulgence. I'm sad for Paula. I don't want to see anyone suffer from diabetes, even it it was the choices she made that led her there. I don't agree with any of the "I told you…

Plan meals in advance - sometimes I make a list of what I'm going to eat the next day. Even better, prepare what you can the night before. Then you have no excuse to reach for something bad when you're in a hurry. Be nice to yourself and don't leave it open to temptation. Throw all the baddies out and don't buy more - I…

According to this site (http://www.discusscooking.com/forums/f20/black-beans-wont-soften-24207.html), they could be old or you boiled them with something acidic. I have no idea though! I wonder what would happen if you put them in the microwave with some water… good luck my friend!
