Thanks Lisa & tstawicki. It definitely does sound more like metatarsalgia. I think I'll give it a few days and see how it feels before I schedule a doc visit. Looks like I won't be running the 10k I signed up for tomorrow. :cry:

crud. I'm hoping it'll be okay with some rest. I've never had anything like this before. It's like my big toe bone in the ball of my foot hurts. I just want to run, dang it! Why can't my body cooperate? I'll be destroyed if I'm "out of order."

I'm in the same boat, girl! I started working towards my goal pretty hard again back in January. Progress? hahaha…3 lbs. That's it. No inches. Nothing. And…I've done a half marathon during that time and I'm training for a second one in a week. I don't get it. I don't really care anymore. The scale is stupid and I give up…

running is nothing but good for you. it's good for your body, good for your soul, good for your mind. sure, it causes a lot of wear & tear…I say all this as my knee and shin are both busted up from a long run…but if done properly, the body can handle it. running is natural. nothing makes me feel more connected to myself…

I can suggest places to stay in Ireland that aren't too expensive. You'd expect Ireland to be cheaper than it is…but it's still pretty pricey here. Check Aer Lingus for flights…they often have great deals to the US!

It's used to mean "you" in the plural form. In the north, we tend to say "you guys" (hate that phrase, but I still use it!). In Ireland, "ye" is used…sounds outdated to me, but I prefer it over "you guys." I just sound like a funny foreigner when I refer to my friends as "ye" hahaha! :bigsmile:

that seems pretty high. my last half-marathon was only $50, one week before the race. I'm doing a 10k in a few weeks that is only $30 and includes all of the goodies.
