^^^ THIS! Your muscle groups don't solidify while exercising, they do it at rest as protein fills in the little tears that stretching them with exercise makes in them. 48 hrs between muscle groups is important!

Good answer ^^^ RobinLynx- I agree that attitude is key. Personally I began by light walking, cutting out soda, adding in more water and believe it or not steamed asparagus. It is a superfood for weight loss. Eat less, exercise more, and adjust your attitude. Before you know it you're thinning down!

Hi Danielle, My name's Jim and I AM NOT obese....but I sure used to be! It is hard work but thinning out and anything else we get in life is so worth that hard work! Believe in yourself even if it takes several tries. Not giving up is the most important key to it all!

Definitely not! It tightens the sheet of muscle beneath one's belly fat. You won't lose weight from it either. But doing them and losing body fat at the same time will make these muscles eventually "appear" as your six pack! (along with other belly toning like situps and planks. Crunches alone won't do it).

Always take a day off every 3 or 4 days. You body does not build muscle when you are exercising. It builds and tones when you are at rest. Running is my favourite exercise. I like the repetitive benefits of it and when breaking through the wall after 10 minutes or so I can run for a long time. I listen to a podcast, music or just think about stuff. The perfect stress reliever for me.

I love my job but the constant testing and self defense classes gets tough after awhile to maintain standards. Wrestling 20 year old rookies is tough for us older guys!

This sounds gross but is really good and high protein. I hard boil some eggs and make a salad with hot mustard instead of mayo. Toast a slice of 12 grain bread, spread a spoonful of the egg mix, then hit the road!
